I have dry skin and some ...most facial cleansers make my face feel dry, stuck and tight after a wash which is a huge no no for me! This doesn't leave my.face feeling like that at all! I had a sample and been buying it ever since it's been about two years or three now.

Neutrogena is a well known and trusted brand. I love and have used several of their products throughout the years. I tried their cleansing bar for sensitive skin and really liked it. The Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser is comparative to the bar in liquid form. This is not overly expensive and Neutrogena often offers coupons to help offset the cost. This did an awesome job of cleansing my skin without irritating or burning it and causing more problems in the long run. Effectiveness This cleanser did an excellent job of gently removing dirt, excess oil, and impurities that accumulated on my skin everyday. It does not have a lot of extra chemicals and additives to it is gentle and not harsh on skin. It lathered well and rinsed away without leaving residue on my face. It made my skin feel fresh and soft. Ease of Application This is very convenient being in a pump bottle. I typically apply and lather with my fingertips and hands. You can apply it to a washcloth or facial brush for extra exfoliation and cleansing power. Scent This is fragrance free.

I am puzzled by so many reviewers stating that they can't remove their makeup with this product. Are you using very tough makeup that is hard to remove? Makeup that is difficult to remove aren't good for your skin in the first place , it is better to avoid them. I just bought this cleanser and have used it twice to remove makeup. I am using a seperate eye and lip makeup remover but having tried out this cleanser, I'm sure it removes eye and lip makeup as easily too, just I prefer using a cotton with makeup remover to get every bit of mascara off my lashes. My skin became dry and sensitive over the years due to living in cold and dry weather conditions and also, I believe, due to my age. I suppose skin gets drier and more sensitive as we age. I use a powder foundation layered over a liquid one for better coverage and this cleanser removed every single trace. It is very liquidy so I use it on dry face, I'm using two pumps, massage in thoroughly to dissolve makeup, wet hands, massage again lightly to emulsify the cleanser. I use a gentle cloth designed for facial use to gently wipe off all and I can see all the makeup on the cloth and none on my face. My skin looks and feels clean and purified of all makeup and gunk. Then rinse with alot of lukewarm water. My skin is used to double cleansing so i take bit more of this cleanser and massage it on my wet face and then rinse it off. After cleansing my skin is soft and smooth and feels so comfortable and soothed. This cleanser is truly extra gentle for me. It's such a remarkable yet humble product in the crazily oversaturated beauty market, for being so gentle and yet so hardworking, plus affordable so I don't feel guilty using it. Effectiveness Doesn't strip the skin of moisture. For me with my dry skin, this is a huge plus. - Cleanses gently, and well, without giving skin a tight or "squeaky clean" feeling. - Hygienic packaging. - Non-greasy. Ease of Application This cleanser is about as gentle as baby shampoo and great for my combination oily/dry skin type. I'm prone to chronic breakouts on a daily basis but I'm able to keep my skin clear so long as I keep the right regimen. Most cleansers either leave my skin too dry or with too much buildup left behind but this one is well balanced, cleansing, and non drying. So far it's been working very well in the dry cold fall and winter weather. Just lather and rinse twice for best result. Scent There is a slight fragrance but nothing overpowering, it just smells soft and clean.

I have had dry and sensitive skin for over a year now, I have always wanted a cleanser with some moisturizing properties and I found the Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser. It cleans the skin inside out and leaves the skin moisturized too. It has added benefits, like it is fragrance free that is awesome for someone like me with sensitive skin and I am advised not to use fragrant products on my face. The cleanser is dermatologist tested as well. What else could I have asked for? It feels like it is made just for me. As the name suggests, it is so gentle on the skin, every time I use it, it leaves my skin extra soft. A little cleanser is all you need, wet your face with lukewarm water and massage the cleanser gently in circular motion and rinse. Super simple to use, it cleans off any dirt, oil, makeup so easily as it was never there. I feel so refreshed every time I use it. This is the best non-drying skin cleanser possible out there. I will recommend this product to anyone with sensitive skin.

Sometimes the other face washes that have loads of things that they advertise don't work well for me. There are some that promise to exfoliate, others that say they can unclog your pores, but sometimes you just really need a simple and easy face wash. I think that this face wash is great (especially for males, it isn't too girly to use). It's so basic, but it DOES work, it cleared my skin up and freshens me up.

Its great,easy to use...it takes an idiot to not know how to use it. It clears up your skin without drying it out,and it evens your skin tone. And its very affordable. I love it! It's so gentle and reliable-- if I try a different product and it does horrible things to my skin, I know that I can always return to this product. I would even go so far as to say that it has helped clear up my skin-- I was using such harsh crap on my face before and it did my acne no good. Using gentler products helped clear my moderate acne. It's still not perfect, but it's better. I urge anyone dealing with moderate acne to try this! In a week my skin went from oily and dry spots with lots of pimples to really even and balanced, and is more clear than it has ever been. I think less must be more when it comes to facial cleansers. I am never switching to any other cleanser. Great cleanser. Inexpensive and easily accessible at nearly any drug store. Removes dirt, oil, and makeup, without irritating your skin. I would recommend this to people who have extremely sensitive skin, such as dry skin with acne and/or rosacea.

I have searched high and low for a facial cleanser that doesn't dry out my face. The first time I used it I was so amazed not only did it clean my face and make up with out scrubbing but it left a great clean but moist feeling. I use to have the driest skin in the winter months but ever I switched to Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser and I have tried other brands but I have always came back to Neutrogena. I have even tried other brands that are way more expensive but nothing compares to Neutrogena Extra Gentle Cleanser. The pump container that it comes in is great and the product last a long time too. The pump gives you just the right amount without waste. The prices is great for such a exceptional product.

This is a great product for those out there looking for something simple, reasonably priced, and that leaves your face feeling light yet clean. I was given medication for my acne, but still needed something to complement the medication in terms of a face cleanser. My mother actually had recommended a product along these lines and I'm glad she did because I stumbled across this product which works great! I have sensitive skin so this product is great because it is fragrance free and just a little soap goes a long way in terms of washing my face. This product would be perfect if the bottle had a twist cap lock, but that's something that I can live without. This product is a tad bit expensive, but it is well worth the price in terms of quality and quantity per bottle. Overall, great product for people with sensitive skin and/or acne, any age. This product is highly recommended by me, I give it an A!!

I hope I am reviewing the right product but I am unsure because there is no picture. The product I am reviewing comes in a light blue container and says "One-Step Gentle Cleanser" on it. I LOVE this product. Make-up does enough to our skin so I feel great about using a gentle cleanser to remove it. It doesn't have a harsh smell and feels silky against your skin! A little goes a long way. I use it with a baby washcloth for added help. This is my go to make-up remover but I have another great one to use as backup (see other reviews) I think it does a great ,thorough job in removing a face full of make up while being gentle on your skin. It rinses clean. No more excessive rubbing and scrubbing with a make up towelette. No more oily film left on your face with those other make up removers. It doesn't claim to be moisturizing but it gives the feel of such. I still follow it with a moisturizing face lotion to revive my skin after holding make up.
