So I purchased this thing reading really good reviews on it. It was cheap and was supposed to do its job. Well I purchased it because it advertises removing black heads, reducing pore size, clearing skin, firming skin, etc. I'm young and I don't have wrinkles but my blemishes and blackheads are embarrassing. I bought this because I thought it was a super hard scrubbing machine that would clear my pores out in no time. I was wrong. I used it three times a week for three weeks and I saw nothing but an increase in my breakouts. I read a review saying that had happened to her also but she gave it extra time and it ended up working out in the end. It'll get worse before it'll get better kind of situation. Well I'm still using it, 6 weeks or so after I bought it and I really see no difference in what I was hoping for. My skin is very soft, very smooth, radiant in some places, but in others, my skin is covered with nasty clogged pores, blackheads, and the occasional large blemish. It has nothing to do with my hygiene because I use an acne cleanser in the morning and at night to take my makeup off. I change the pad before each time I use the microdermabrasion system. I was just thoroughly disappointed with this product because I was hoping to find something that finally worked to clear up my skin.

This system is okay, but I don't think you really need the skin buffer to get the same effect.  You can feel the crystals in the cream, which there is not a lot of, and your skin will get the same effect by just rubbing it in with your fingers.  The cream is good, but the hand held buffer just collects the lotion soaking it in so your face can't use it.  I have problems with blackheads on my nose and this does not clear them as well as when I have a professional microdermabrasion treatment.
