the Netgear 3000 extender did not noticeably improve our wifi range. We had houseguest from Italy and San Diego who wanted to use wifi in the back bedrooms. The base wifi unit was in the front of the house, with the kitchen and its metal appliances in between. The unit was plugged in, setup took about 5 minutes. The Netgear 3000 extender worked well for 3 or 4 days and then drops started, and increased in frequency. I followed customer service's instructions which were basically to reset and then reinstall and there was no improvement in performance. So, we returned it. Performance Performance did not last long and, once it degraded it could not be improved. Durability stopped working well after 3 or more days. That's not durable Setup & Ease of Use setup worked ok initially but it could not auto connect to the base router which was a netgear product. That's a fail. Service & Support Customer service's answers did not help solve the problem.
