Works well to help you sleep

4

I will start by saying that I suffer from periods of times where I just can't seem to fall asleep. I might go months with no problem, and then all of the sudden I can't fall asleep for days or even weeks (usually because of anxiety or because my mind won't shut down for the night). I keep Melatonin in my arsenal of products to help me sleep when it just wants to escape me. I find that if I use this every night, it just won't work all the time. I don't know if my body gets used to it or what, but this is something I will usually only take for a couple of days before it doesn't work for me (I have this problem though, with a lot of sleep aids). I usually take 1/2 of a pill and that does the trick. If I take a whole pill I can sometimes feel a little hung over or extra tired the next day. I would probably not recommend this if you needs it for every single night, due to the fact that your body seems to get used to it, but if you occasionally need a little extra help visiting the Sand Man, this should work pretty nicely for you. Effectiveness This only works for me for a few days and then my body seems to get used to it and it isn't as helpful. Ease of Use Easy to use pill form. Immediacy This works pretty quick for me. I would say in 20 minutes or less I am off to sleep.

Best Melatonin on the Market!

5

I struggle with insomnia and have for over 45 years. I've tried everything out there from warm milk to Tylenol PM to Tryptophan to prescription sleeping pills. I've tried other melatonin products but Natrol is the best. I have found it in the "club" stores at a very good price. I've seen in in mass retailers for a reasonable price also but you get more from the club stores. Effectiveness I usually take Natrol Melatonin about 45 minutes before I fall asleep. I read and then, like clockwork, it kicks in and my eyes are completely shut! Ease of Use These are chewable and the taste is pleasant. I usually take this and then take my other night time medicines (non-chewables). Immediacy For someone like me, a person with a racing mind and real difficulty falling asleep, being able to fall asleep in 45 minutes is a miracle. Some nights I fall asleep sooner but 99% of the time, I am able to get to sleep within 45 minutes. Side Effects None.

Great Help for Sleeping

5

Natrol Maximum Strength Melatonin has really helped me get a good night's sleep. I have a lot of natural energy and sometimes I have trouble falling asleep. I take 10 mg melatonin which is two 5 mg tablets and I have no trouble falling asleep. It helps you fall asleep, it is not a sleeping pill that will keep you asleep. I do not take melatonin every night, only when I need it. I have had no side effects from taking it occasionally. Some sleeping pills make you have a "hang over" feeling in the morning, but Natrol does not. I'm not afraid I will get too dependent on Melatonin because it's not addictive. They are tasteless and very easy to swallow. I always wait for them to go on sale at Rite Aid and buy them when they are buy one get one free. That way, you can double the amount you get and pay the same amount. I can truly say I would recommend this product to anyone who is having trouble falling asleep occasionally. Effectiveness They take effect very rapidly after you take them.......about 15 minutes. Ease of Use Very easy to swallow. Side Effects I have had no side effects of any kind.....like stomach problems or headaches, etc.

Sleep Better With Natrol Melatonin

5

I have bouts of extreme insomnia; most night I get about four hours of sleep if I am lucky but there are times when I am so restless that I toss and turn until I get so frustrated that I get up and start doing laundry. To take the edge off and avoid using prescription sleeping pills I take melatonin. This helps me relax to the point that I am not restless and can actually fall asleep and stay asleep. This is not something that is going to knock you out immediately but if you are a light sleeper it can help you stay asleep. Over the years I have had prescriptions for sleep aids that have worked but have left me groggy or not wanting to get up when the alarm went off. This can leave you feeling a little groggy but not to the point that you are going to turn the alarm off and go back to sleep for two more hours. I do not take this every night but it is safe to take on a regular basis as long as you do no exceed the dosage instructions. I have never been diagnosed with RLS / restless leg syndrome but my left leg does twitch a lot at night. When I take this I notice a dramatic decrease in my leg activity. Compared to melatonin from other companies this is less expensive but works the same way. Some people may only need 2.5 milligrams to be able to fall asleep and stay asleep but others will need something a little stronger and could benefit from the 5 milligram dose. Side Effects May result in slight grogginess in the morning.

Sleep like a baby

I'm not sure if I would recommend for habitual use, but these do work great for the occasional sleepless night. I take them and I'm out like a light! Good restful sleep that doesn't make me groggy when I wake up in the morning. Helps promote healthy REM sleep

Restless nights, Groggy mornings.

I purchased Natrol Melatonin 5mg a few years ago when they were on sale for Buy One Get One Free. I bought 2 bottles. I got an immediate rebate after purchasing this product so it is not money wasted. I take the tablets as prescribed on the bottle "Take 1 tablet 20 minutes before bedtime." After I take the tablet, as instructed, I lay in bed and wait and wait. It finally puts me to sleep an hour later but not always. This Natrol Melatonin is time release. It is supposed to help you stay asleep as the melatonin is released throughout the night. I always manage to wake up several times through the night. I do not get the required 8 hours sleep as recommended in the label. Because my sleep is interrupted and not a complete 8 hours, I wake up groggy. I have trouble waking and I feel tired though out the day. Maybe it just does not work for me. I definitely have stopped using this Natrol Melatonin. Even for an emergency, it is not worth it. I would rather lay in bed with a few hours of sleep able to wake on my own than use this product and wake up feeling tired.

Gently aids in falling asleep

I started taking this for very severe insomnia. Before this, I occasionally took tylenol PM or a generic version of that. Now that I'm on the melatonin, I have stopped the tylenol PM completely, unless I need the pain relief also for a migraine. The melatonin doesn't knock me out in the same way as the tylenol - I don't feel like I'm falling into a near comatose state, and it doesn't put me in as deep of a sleep. But it does make a big difference. Without anything I can stay up til 2 or 3am without feeling like I should go to bed. With the melatonin, I get drowsy about a half hour after I take it. It still takes maybe a half hour or so to fall asleep after that. Some nights I still have insomnia, it's not foolproof. But it's reliable enough that I don't feel dysfunctional. And I don't wake up feeling sluggish and drugged. Read up on required doses. I think 5mg is too strong so I got a pill splitter and take a half pill a day.

Natrol Melatonin says "fall asleep fast & stay asleep all night'

I purchased Natrol Melatonin a few weeks back. Some nights I can sleep really good, and then another night lay awake for several hours. I noticed that this was a dietary supplement, so figured that it wouldn't be addictive. The purple bottle looks relaxing to start with. It states on the front that they are 'time Release', 5 mg, and there are 100 tablets. It is suggested that you take 1 tablet 20 minutes before bedtime. For the past 10 days I have been doing this, and I still have had 2 nights when sleep wouldn't come to me for several hours. I lay awake and my mind remained active. When I opened my eyes they weren't drowsy. As I have 90 of these little white pills left I will continue to use them. The only problem is that before I started taking them, perhaps once or twice a month, when I couldn't sleep I would take only 1 Tylenol p.m., and it would work great for me. Each tablet contains 10 mg of Vitamin B-6, Melatonin 5 gm. They contain no yeast, wheat, corn, milk, egg, soy, glutens, artificial colors or flavors, added sugar, starch or preservatives. It also states that it has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Right now I am a little disappointed with the Natrol Melatonin, but I will update this article, if I find any improvement in my sleep pattern. I finished the bottle of Melatonin, and ended up with the same conclusion. They didn't work for me. Effectiveness They didn't work for me. Ease of Use Just take one with water. Immediacy Didn't relax me, or make me sleep. Side Effects None.
