It was a boy-free weekend, so I decided to try out some new quickie foods. Nancy's Gourmet Quiche Appetizers caught my eye, so I bought a pack and crossed my fingers. The pack I bought had three selections including Lorraine (swiss and bacon), Florentine (swiss and spinach) and Three Cheese (enough said). There were four of each in the 12 pack. These are like little mini pies with quiche fillings. If you have a big mouth, it might be a bite per appetizer. I nibbled about three munches per mini pie. I cooked 6 per meal, since it was just me eating. Well, my aunt came by when I was cooking the second batch, so I shared. These were really tasty. I liked the Florentine the best. They included spinach, but you'd never guess really. Second would be the Lorraine. Very nice. I'm not big on loads of cheese. I'd never get a cheese pizza or extra cheese on top, but the Three Cheese were really good as well. It only took 14-16 minutes to heat these up. They looked cute. They tasted great. They were kind of expensive, but it would take a heck of a long time to make those little shells and fillings. I'd buy these again for a special treat or for a small party. If I had a crowd, I guess I'd bite the bullet and cook from scratch. It would take a lot of these to fill up guests. They would go over well though I'm sure. My aunt thought the ones she tried were excellent too. I may even try them on the boys. They're pretty darn tasty. I can't imagine they'd NOT like them.
