My favorite hard wood floor cleaner is definitely Murphy's oil soap so I ad to try the squirt and mop version. I cant say that I was actually dissapointed, I just expected more from my favorite brand. I have children and pets and that makes for messy floors. I have all hard wood floors and I am picky with my floor cleaners. I like them to clean them well without leaving behind a residue, and I want my floors shiny and not dull looking. Murphy's has always done just that and I also like not having to get my floors really wet to achieve the clean I want. I thought this squirt type cleaner would take less water on my floors and I wood still get the same results as the oils soap. It just didn't work as well and I felt like I didn't get my floors as clean. But to be fair my floors get pretty dirty and require quite a bit of vacuuming and mopping. I found this worked much better for the inbetween cleanings. I mop daily to every other day and try to not go longer than 2 days between deep cleanings. I like to use the Murphy's oil soap at least once a week and then using this for the other days and I like the results. I feel like this product does save time and water and it does work well, just not well enough to use on its own. I think this would be perfect for homes that dont get as dirty as mine. It works well and leaves the floor clean but doesnt give my floor the shine and clean that the oil soap does. You dont need much for a large area and its easy to use and is great for keeping the floor clean between the major mop jobs. I would give it one more star if it worked as well as the oil soap. I dont think it leaves a residue but I dont use it without the other Murphy's. I think they all made a good product but its hard to compete with the oil soap. I recommend it for less dirty floors or for use with the oil soap too.

We used this cleaner at work on our wood floor for quite a while, it's an Ok cleaner, but not outstanding in my opinion. Performance This is a decent cleaner, but it's not the best I've ever used. It advertises that you can jus drizzle on the floor and mop but that's not quite right. You really need to sweep or use a dust mop beforehand, otherwise you will not get very clean at all. Using this product with rags on hands and knees is far more effective at getting all the dirt off than just using a mop. What I like best about this product is that you don't have to use very much to clean the floor and it dries very quickly. Generally there is not need to go back with dry rags to dry off the floor after mopping, which I a big time saver. Scent Scent is very mild, I actually have to stop and think to remember what it smells like. I have not heard any complaints about it from guests of co-workers, so it's a good mild product.

I used this product to clean the wood floors at my home. We had been doing some updating. The floors were extra dusty and had hundreds of microscopic paint spots on them. I just used a damp mop, I squirted the product onto my hand scraped walnut wood floors. By the end of the day, my floors had nice light shine and didn't look greasy or feel sticky. I plan to make this product a part of my weekly and general cleaning routine. Performance I had two choices, Murphy's or Pledge. Both are tried and true; however there is something about the look you get from using Murphy's I like the just cleaned look with out that oily overdone shine. So, I opted for Murphy's. I am sold that will be the product for maintaining my hardwood floors. I also used it to clean a solid wood dining table base. It brought the wood back to a new look. Scent The scent was light and clean, no heavy citrus or oily scent. It had the tell-tale Murphy's fragrance you don't get from other products.

This is such a natural cleaner that I don't worry about my beautiful floors being stripped of its varnish. I not only use it on my floors, but believe it or not, on my dogs as a shampoo as well. It's a natural oil and works wonders for their coats.

Floor cleaners are almost always liquids, but just because they are runny doesn't mean all are equally convenient to use. Many require mixing/diluting with water before each use and a few even require rinsing. But there is one floor cleaner that is applied directly, making it about as easy to use as a floor cleaner can be. That product is Murphy's Oil Soap Squirt and Mop. Cleaner Facts and Commentary: Murphy's Oil Soap Squirt and Mop is a simple floor cleaner that is applied by turning the bottle upside down, aiming at the floor, squirting a little bit of soap, and then smoothing it out with a damp mop. There is no need to reach for a bucket or wring out your mop every few minutes. This product is ready to use, straight from the package, and requires no rinsing. Mopping floors is not one of my favorite chores and I tend to go for convenience over most other factors. Murphy's Oil Soap Squirt and Mop is one of the most convenient floor cleaners on the market. It doesn't require any intensive scrubbing- unless your floors need it- and it cleans and shines nicely. It only takes a small amount to clean a small amount of flooring and it saves a great deal of time and effort, not to mention water. Murphy's Oil Soap Squirt and Mop works well for what it was intended for, but don't use it expecting a heavy duty type of clean. This product is made more for floors that are already reasonably clean and just need a little extra work to pick up dust and small particles. There is no abrasive, so don't use this cleaner expecting great scrubbing abilities. My Bottom Line: Murphy's Oil Soap Squirt and Mop is a good product for its intended use and its convenience alone makes it deserving of a try. It doesn't offer great cleaning/scrubbing abilities, but it isn't intended for that type of use. It's a convenience product and it works quite nicely on most floors. It isn't always easy to find, but I recommend giving it a try the next time you visit the store in search of floor cleaner. Performance This product works fine on most floors, as long as they are not too dirty. Scent Scent is okay, but this is not one of the product's stronger points.

Mopping can be a pain in the rear. First you have to locate your bucket (it could have travelled to the garage, shed, basement, bathroom, or any place that it really shouldn't be), fill it with water and solution, then pull out the mop, dunk, squeeze and mop away. Murphy Oil Soap Squirt and Mop has saved you half a gallon of water and probably at least 10 minutes of searching and frustration every time you need to mop your hardwood floors. I take my mop, get it wet in the sink, and follow the directions on the bottle.  You squirt it out directly onto the floor in 3-foot sections or so and mop immediately. i have found it does a good job and makes my floors look good as new! For harder, caked-on dirt a little elbow grease might be needed, but I blame the mop, not the Murphy Oil Soap. It dries quickly enough, no speedier than water. Best of all, it saves time, water, and lets you leave that bucket in its new, "safe" place.
