The first time I ever heard of Mrs Meyers products was when my mom took my daughter and I to stay at a cottage for a few weeks. We had forgotten to bring some laundry detergent with us, so we had to look for something to use while we stayed at the cottage. I found a small bottle of Mrs Meyers Lavender Detergent and I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this was! Performance What impressed me most about Mrs Meyer Laundry detergent is that it worked well in cold or warm water. The clothes were left not feeling scratchy at all, yet they were very clean. I also was surprised that it did not fade the bright colored items that I put in by accident, wanting instead to hand wash them. What a nice detergent to use! A little went a long way too. The top loader we were using was not as efficient as our front loader at home, but we still did not need much detergent at all for a really nice clean load of laundry. Ever since then, I have paid attention to Mrs Meyer's products as this detergent was a very pleasant surprise and did a great job on all of the different clothes we were putting in the washer, including those that were quite dirty and stained. My mom is VERY sensitive to detergents and she had no problems with this at all. Scent The lavender scent was natural and refreshing smelling. It lingered only a bit on the clothing, but was a pleasant scent and we liked it.

I've purchased Mrs. Meyer's Lavender Laundry Detergent to use in my HE washing machine only once. When I bought it, I also purchased the Lavender Fabric Softener so I could use them in unison. I did feel a little bit of guilt when I bought the pair, because of the expense. They both smell heavenly. I normally purchase scent-free laundry products because my family is sensitive to heavy fragrances that are used in detergents and fabric softeners. They were all able to tolerate this soft lavender scent, and they were very impressed. Based on cleaning ability alone, I tend to not see much difference between brands. I seem to have the same frustrations with stains and pre-treating with each and every detergent I've ever tried. I honestly can't call this laundry detergent better at cleaning than any other. I can say that it cleans at least as well as others that I've tried, and it's appropriate for my front-loader. By the time my first bottle was gone I had decided that I'd continue using Mrs. Meyer's Lavender Fabric Softener, but just purchase whichever unscented laundry detergent I could find on sale. It's more affordable for me that way, and I can still provide my family with great smelling clothing without breaking the bank or feeling guilty about spending so much money on housekeeping supplies. Sometimes we have to compromise!

I bought a bottle of Mrs. Meyers Laundry Detergent a few years ago and now I can't stop getting more. Because I think it is expensive, I use it only for sheets and occasionally loads of towels, and ONLY the lavendar scent. When these items come out of the washer and dryer smelling of lavendar, it just smells FABULOUS and I love getting into the fresh sheets that night. I don't care for the other scents nearly as much, plus, I think lavendar is a sleep aide and who can't use all the help we can get in that area! Sweet dreams!

I use Mrs. Meyers Laundry Lavender Detergent, and have also used the Geranium scented version. Both detergents are excellent as far as I'm concerned. In particular, pros include a very nice smell - it's very strong in the bottle, but very subtle on laundry afterwards, not at all overbearing or "perfume-y," as well as environmental and skin benefits (it uses plant-derived ingredients instead of harsher, more potentially irritating chemicals). It also works very well on general laundry, gets rid of dirt and leaves clothes in great shape, clean, unfaded and pleasant-smelling. It is expensive, but it's concentrated and a little definitely goes a long way - a single bottle is good for 64 or so loads. The only negative that I can think of is that Mrs. Meyers' general detergent might be a little too strong for delicates, and I'd reccommend finding a different, softer detergent for those. Likewise, as with any detergent, big stains might need to be pre-treated with a stain remover.

Mrs. Meyer's Lavender Laundry Detergent is a great product from the Mrs. Meyer's line, but due to its price we do not regularly purchase it. We got our first bottle as a housewarming gift, and I loved this detergent. Like the other Mrs. Meyer's products, it is better for the environment than other products in its class. It is also safer for people and pets. My husband is sensitive to laundry detergents, and with its gentle ingredients, this was a favorite of his. I adored this laundry detergent because it smelled heavenly and was gentle to my clothes. I've used a number of other detergents that have bleached spots into clothes, ruining them. This one is gentle enough that it never damaged a single article of our clothing. The downside to this product is the price. We opt for other laundry detergent now because it is simply not economical for us to regularly purchase this product. I'd give it 5 stars if it had a lower price.

Everything Mrs. Meyers I love, but this detergent is truly fantastic.  The major drawback is price and availability - where I live you have to drive maybe 20 minutes to find it at an all-natural grocery store.  Once and awhile though, I splurge and get this detergent.  A very little lasts a long way, so sometimes the price is worth it.  The lavendar scent is particularly sweet and refreshing.  I typically line-dry my laundry in the sun and I absolutely love how light the lavendar scent is when clothes are done drying.  The other drawback is that I've found Mrs. Meyers to not work as well with difficult stains and since I have a one year old, stains are a major part of the laundry experience these days.  I often have to do his laundry with a different detergent.  If you're looking for an all-natural, every day, gently scented deterent, this is a sure bet.  Mrs.  Meyers products are really wonderful - I've been pleased with everything I've tried.
