My favorite smart phone ever

5

I have had my MotoX Pure for over 2 years. This is the first time I've ever NOT been chomping at the bit to get a new one at this length of ownership. The screen is the right size and has bright, full color range. The in-call speaker is clear, but I do wish the speaker phone was louder. I like the pre-installed functions, including the keyboard and voice mail app. It has a great processor (even compared to newer phones), and loads webpage content and media quickly. This Moto X can be quick charged, and the battery life was initially very good. As it's after and been heavily used, the battery life has shortened some. My husband has the same phone and broke the screen in his at work last month. Rather than use the opportunity to buy a shiny, new phone, he decided to have the screen fixed (and paid quite a bit to have that done). My phone truly is water resistant; it's been through the sprinklers, rained on (briefly), etc. It's also been dropped many times and subjected to the rigorous use of small children. Yet, it still works perfectly. I highly recommend this phone!

Good Phone, easy to use but no removalbe battery

5

I purchased this phone recently to replace a phone that was approximately four years old. The operating system took some getting used to, but now I love it. The camera feature is perfect for anyone with small children as it takes several shots all at once to make for clearer no fuzz pictures. The only issue is the battery is not removable making it impossible to upgrade to an extended battery. Battery Life So far the battery life has been good, though I play lots of games and use the internet frequently. I would prefer to have a phone with an extendable battery option. Display/Screen Quality The color on this is unbelievable. Compared to my old phone this looks like the pixels are on steroids. Call Quality I have only made a few calls but they have been crystal clear. The speaker phone on this is very loud compared to my old phone, fantastic! Ease of Use Getting used to the new operating system took some time, but now that I have it figured out it is very easy to use. Durability As I am a biker I got the additional otter case to ensure this will stay safe. So far so good.

All Around Great Phone

I've been using the Moto X for about a month now, and I love it. I had the Motorola Photon prior to the Moto X and this phone feels like the next generation of my Photon, which is nice because it is familiar but updated. I find it is generally very intuitive and I like that the screen takes up almost the entire front of the phone. Battery Life Battery life is decent. I certainly don't notice the phone dying particularly often but I do charge it every night when I sleep. Display/Screen Quality Beautifully clear, crisp screen. I have nothing bad to say about the display quality of this phone, and I really enjoy the moving backgrounds available- mine is billowing smoke. Call Quality I'm not sure if this phone is available on other networks, but Sprint coverage is not ideal, therefore I cannot accurately rate the call quality. I haven't noticed a decrease in quality since I got my new phone. Ease of Use Very easy to use. I like the large clean sleep display showing the time and date and the static Google search bar at the top of the screen. Apps can be arranged into folders and you can stick up to 80 apps and folders on your home screen. I haven't nearly filled it up yet. Durability I bought a gel case for this almost immediately as those seem to be the most durable but even so, Motorola phones are very hardy in my opinion. I have dropped this countless times and it is showing no signs of wear. Design I think this phone is gorgeous, and it sits nicely in the palm of my hand.

Large screen and fast processing

I use the Moto X from Republic Wireless on the Wi-Fi only plan, so I keep it on airplane mode with only Wi-Fi on, and the battery lasts me for about three days with normal use. The screen is big and bright. Android operates really fast on this phone compared to others I have used. The only downside is that there is no SD card slot and the battery is no it removable. But, overall I have been very happy with the Moto X.

Great.

The phone itself is very efficient and superior to my old smartphone. The speed of the phone is ridiculously quick, with plenty of bug improvements to make it more quality. With the only actually problem being the storage and its camera quality, it is a great phone. Durability I dropped it a few times, didn't even scratch the screen as it would have it was my old iphone.

My first smartphone and I am happy

5

Granted this is my first smartphone but I love it. I love how easy it is to use. How slim it is and how large the screen is. I don't know how I loved without it because it saves me time and money. Using it to get discounts and coupons. The camera is awesome and I love all the ring tones. I give each person a different ring tone so I know who is calling.

The best smartphone I've ever owned!

5

Before owning the Moto X I had an iPhone 4S. The leap from iOS to Android was a big one, and required quite a lot of adjusting; however, now that I am well-adjusted to the Android operating system, I find it to be far-superior to iOS. But the Android operating system is not exclusive to the Moto X, so I'll talk about the two big features exclusive to the Moto X instead: Google Now and the phone's camera. The advertisements for the Moto X highlight the phone's Google Now feature, which is a hands-free voice-operated virtual assistance, similar to Siri. Having used Siri regularly, I can say that beyond a shadow of a doubt, Google Now is far superior to Siri. The hands-free aspect works fantastically, and the speed at which the phone processes your requests is comparable to that of light. Google Now can also respond to a more diverse amount of questions and requests that Siri can. Another feature of the Moto X that is heavily advertised is the camera, which can be opened by simply twisting your wrist while your phone is in your hand. This is probably my favorite feature on the phone; the camera opens almost immediately, and you just have to tap the screen to take your photo. The quality of the camera is very high as well. Overall, I highly recommend this phone to anyone looking to upgrade, and if you have an iPhone, I would recommend you switch to Android. Battery Life Battery life is average. Display/Screen Quality Fantastic 1280x720 AMOLed display. Call Quality Typical cell phone call quality. Ease of Use Google Now and the "twist-your-wrist" camera features make this phone very easy to use. Durability The phone is made of plastic and is very light, but it is durable (though I would highly recommend a case, as I would with any smartphone). Design The phone makes great use of its size by making the screen as big as possible!

An extremely cutting edge smartphone with an amazing screen.

The Moto X gets high points for interface, special features like voice control, responsiveness and screen quality. It looses a couple points for lack of a MicroSD card slot, so there is no expandable memory. Motorola and Google attempt to make up for this with a free 50GB expansion to Google Drive for two years (for a total on Drive of 65GB) but cloud storage is only as good as your data connection. If not for this factor, the phone would definitely be a 9, and for some this won't be an issue. Battery Life Battery life of approximately 13 hours is quite good for a smartphone with a screen this size. Display/Screen Quality Deep blacks, vibrant colors and a resolution of 720 x 1280 (316 ppi) make this large 4.7 inch AMOLED screen spectacular. Call Quality Sometimes volume seems a bit low, but clarity is good. People that I call say my voice sounds fine to them. Ease of Use Voice command even when device is asleep make this a truly unique experience. Design Phone is simple yet attractive with a matted back that looks like carbon fiber.

Best overall phone experience

5

This phone does it all and asks for more. The most comfortable to hold phone I have ever owned and the UI is fast and responsive. Early camera problems have been fixed through software update. This is the phone to buy right now. Motorola and Google are doing things right and it is clear they are focusing on the user experience instead of making sure it has the next flashy hardware. Why have you not bought one yet?
