We got this TV because of the dimensions, it was one of the largest we could fit into our existing furniture and has a smaller frame so it is mostly TV. I also knew generally Mitsubishi makes a good quality product. We are more than happy with this television, it has easy to use controls on the remote (and I hate reading directions but can figure out anything I need to do by just pushing buttons), and a great picture quality and color, and absolutely no issues. It has a nice swivel base as well. We have had it for nearly 2 years now. We wired it through our speakers so I can't really judge the sound although a few times we have listened through the built in speakers and it is loud enough and clear enough that there are no problems from what I can tell. It was a bit more than other comparable sized TVs but if you need something with a small frame so you can maximize the screen, it is well worth it!
