Miele brand is one of the best around.  It's truly a quality company that produces quality products.  The machine is incredible.  It washes dishes so quietly sometime you wonder if it's even running it's so quiet.  It cleans dishes and never leaves any residue.  The steel front is lovely to the touch and matches perfect with our other kitchen steel appliances.  This machine does take a longer time to wash dishes then other machines I've own in the past, but the quality is surpassed.  Even the dining utensils (forks, knives, spoons) can all be stocked individually into the washer.  There's never any foods crusts left behind.  The steel utensils and corale dishes come out sparkling clean every time.  We use jet dry and palmolive as our dish washing soap of choice.  They really seem to complement the machine.  I usually wash my dishes before putting them into the dish washer, but it is not a must with this machine.

Though Miele is pricey, you definitely get what you pay for. We have had Bosch and KitchenAid dishwashers before, but they've always done a subpar job of cleaning the dishes. And both broke. But our Miele is supurb. I love that I put dirty dishes in and they come out sparkling clean - no residue, no dried on food. You actually need less dishwasher soap (the cheaper the better) in the Miele. My husband and I have recommended Miele to all our friends - it is worth the money to have a reliable, quiet dishwasher that doesn't waste energy and resources. We have now purchased 3 Miele (2 for our home, one for a guest house) and could not be happier with the results. In addition to using little water, the Miele dishwasher is also very simple to use. Push buttons on the top of the panel make it convenient and sleek looking. I love that it lets me know when it needs more salt or rinse aid on the panel as well. Simply worth the money.

If you are looking for an exceptionally quiet dishwasher with outstanding performance this would be the one. Apparently it is built to last 20 years. I have been a Miele dishwasher owner for 9 years and currently have 3 in different houses, we just love them.
