Great Fragrance, Dried Out My Hands

3

One of the many places I have had to visit repeatedly the last few years had a most interesting pink clear tear dropped bottle of hand soap in the bathroom. I loved the scent, so I looked at the bottle to find out what it was so perhaps I could get some for my house. It was called Method Pink Grapefruit. When I used it, the smell was great. The feeling on my hands was not too bad on some days, but on others, it dried out my skin. **INGREDIENTS** *Aqua (water), sodium lauryl sulfate, cocamide DEA, cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, aloe barbadensis gel, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), citric acid, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, benzophenone-4, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, parfum (fragrance), red 33 (Cl 17200), red 4 (Cl 14700)* Effectiveness I didn't notice my hands drying out quite as badly as other hand soaps such as Equate, for instance, but I still had days when using this soap left my hands feeling a bit too dry. When I looked up the ingredients, I saw that it had sodium lauryl sulfate in it which is a heavy de-greaser that always is too harsh for my hands. I used it on the occasions when I had to, but despite the great scent, I couldn't continue using it or buying it due to it drying my hands out too much. Scent The grapefruit scent is really lovely. I like it. I just wish it didn't dry out my hands.

I love Method hand wash

Method hand soap/wash is the only hand soap we use in our house. It is by far my favorite hand soap. And the grapefruit is the best smelling! I love that the method hand soaps come in a variety of scents, so you can change it up when you get tired of one or with the seasons. It also comes in a cute bottle. Not some crazy bottle with "dial" written all over it. You can actually use this bottle. I have been buying the refills for a while now. I love that the refills are keeping giant plastic containers out of the landfills. This is a little more expensive than most hand soaps. I have found most Method products to be a little on the pricey side. But I think it is worth is. Love the scents and they clean well!

Method Pink Grapefruit Hand Wash smells great!

4

I am a huge fan of the entire Method line of products and keep a supply of different scented hand washes in the pantry for various uses. I normally use the pink grapefruit scent in the kitchen as it has that kitchen type citrus smell. It smells fresh and clean and gets icky smells off your hands. The dispenser is a nice shape that is not only attractive but also effective as the bottom is a bit wider so it doesn't tip over when you're pumping it. The pump itself has a nice surface area so your wet hands don't slip off while pumping either. I especially love that you can buy refills for the dispenser which makes it really cost effective. The dispenser is also recyclable when it reaches the end of its lifetime. The only issue I've had is that the soap is not a truly moisturizing soap, so in the winter you really need to use a separate lotion after you're done washing and doing whatever you're doing or it could dry your hands out a bit.

Great hand cleaner

Method Hand Wash Pink Grapefruit is a great soap that I use many times a day.  I filled the dispenser beside my kitchen sink and use this all the time.  The scent is sweet and delicate and appropriate for men and women.  It does a good job with cleaning hands after yucky kitchen tasks and messy diaper changes.  The 12 ounce bottle is pretty and well designed.  Even better, is that the hand wash is available as a 34 ounce refill in a bag.  I like that the refill has less waste than many little bottles.  Method seems to be a responsible business as far as not testing on animals and sound environmental stewardship practices.  These things are important to me as well.  I think it would be nice if the hand was dye free, but that is a lot to expect.  In reading the negative comments, I will add the this is not a moisturizing soap.  You will need a separate lotion for that.  That said, I do not think this drys hands out more than others.
