Mental Floss has been coming to my home for over 2 years, first as a gift (makes a great one!) and then a renewal. If you are a person who enjoys knowing a little or a lot about a lot of different things, this magazine will appeal to you. Along with all the knowledge is a entertaining writing style and fun layout. What I most enjoy seeing is the whole sections devoted to one topic, such as foreign countries. I know my knowledge about most places outside the U.S. is lacking, and it's wonderful to have a quick tour of other places. I also really enjoy the six degrees of Ken Jennings where someone sends in two seemingly unrelated topics and the Jeopardy champion connects them. If only this were a monthly magazine, there would be much happiness in this house. A fun trivia fact is that Albert Einstein is on the cover somewhere of each issue, like Where's Waldo for grown-ups.

I have never had some much fun getting smarter. Mental Floss that can take topics that wold have put you to sleep in school and make you want to read them. It is one of the very few magazines if not the only one I read from cover to cover in one sitting! I love the interviews with dead people, very clever idea! I only wish this magazine came out every month, I find my self waiting impatiently for every new issue.

Everybody in my family enjoys this magazine despite the fact that we have diverse interests: I love literature and trivia, my son is into science and history, and my husgand is into classical music and literature. We all find many things to enjoy in each issue. Best of all, Mental Floss has a sense of humor about everything, including itself, so it is never stuffy or boring.

This is the perfect gift for anyone into trivia. The magazine is well written and there are articles for everyone on all kinds of topics, from anthropology to zoology. Each issue is totally unique and the articles give you little bits of wisdom and insight to think about the past, present and future. This is the one magazine that I always pickup when a new issue is available.

Mental Floss - Best Magazine Ever, No Kidding!

I've been reading - uh, ADDICTED to - Mental Floss for some time now. Trivia, yes, but in-depth pieces, too (love the part where they look at places in the world I usually know nothing about). Best magazine to take with you while traveling (not boring, even for a long wait on the tarmac). Best magazine to read before a party or first date (will give you plenty of conversation-starters). Best magazine, period. (but worst magazine for being left untouched and unread....)

Mental Floss: funny factoids for the curious mind
5
Mental Floss meets its title criteria. Its humorous tidbits and well written articles weave through the cracks in your mind. This bimonthly magazine has information on everything from dangerous parasites to fantastic cities, con men to concrete. *Interviews with Dead Celebrities* gives insight to what great minds might really have thought. *6 degrees of Ken Jennings* links random words with interesting tales. AJ Jacobs', author of The Know It All, encyclopedia of knowledge adds additional wit and wisdom. The website offers more of the articles, as well trivia games and books. Their t-shirts feature witty quips like "Idioms are for the birds" and "Easy as 3.14..." Mental Floss is a reading world for those looking to learn random trivia with just enough detail to impress your guests at dinner parties, wow your coworkers at the water cooler, and convince your friends your smarter than they are.

Mental Floss is one of the best magazines I've ever had the pleasure of reading. A fellow employee suggested it (being that I'm a useful and useless information junkie) and it was love at first sight! :) The writing is wonderful the topics are humorous and informative! Seriously - THIS is a magazine that will not only keep your brain alive but could help you when you want to know more than you kids! :)
