Mega Bloks Lil' Wagon

5

Ah, memories of childhood, blocks and Legos all over the floor, but how to carry them? Mega Bloks now offers a wagon for transport and added fun. While Legos are awesome, they are just too plain small for kids under 5 in my opinion. There are so many pieces and they break apart easily, and end up getting lost or stepped on. Mega Bloks are the ideal solution. These are essentially the same idea as Legos, but are much bigger and less complicated for little minds. The wagon is not the highest quality, your basic plastic with wheels, but all the Bloks fit in it and it's lots of fun for kids to pull around the house or even outside. The Bloks them selves are multi colored and come in different shapes, for example one might have one connector, another have two pieces sticking up, you get the point! They are extremely easy to work with and really promote coordination. There are other Mega Bloks sets that are specific, like the one that becomes a bulldozer, but this wagon is great for a first time building set! Totally recommend for kids 5 and under!

Wagon Load of Fun

5

My mom told me she was thinking about getting this for my son for Christmas since we were looking for a little wagon for him to play with. I went online to look at it and when I saw it I thought the wagon was going to be way too big since he just turned one. However once she actually got it for him and I saw it in person, it was the perfect size. It's only about a foot long and about 8 inches tall. It's the perfect size for him to pull around and knock over and play with. It comes with quite a few "lego" style blocks. They are large which are great for tiny hands. Though you might want to invest in another set of blocks as your child gets older. He's only one so he doesn't build a ton yet, but I am sure he will soon. The wagon is very sturdy. It even has a little loading dock type pull down thing at the end. You pull the back down and the blocks or cargo fall out or you can use it to load stuff back up. It closes back up easily. This wagon is the perfect size and is too cute. My little guy has a ton of fun with it.

GREAT TOY & GREAT VALUE

5

My son loved this wagon and the blocks. We had already had other mega blocks, so those basically just added to his set. The wagon was great because it was light weight and easy for him to move around. The dumping feature has been a lot of fun for him as well. He loves putting a bunch of toys in it and then dumping them out. It is amazing how long he can play with it before he gets bored. Eventually the wagon became an outside toy and he pulls it around our back yard and loves it. It is one of the most durable toys we have, which is key when you have an active little boy! We started getting the large mega blocks for our son when he was not quite 1 year old. He has played with them for 2 years until we just transitioned him into smaller blocks as he was ready to turn 3. The blocks were a great way for him to learn motor skills while also learning colors. He would spend a lot of time building towers and knocking them down.

Love them!

The blocks are durable and easy to use.  They can be stacked and unlike some of the legos they are easily taken apart so they can do that too!  They will self sufficient and occupied with this set!  My sons were able to play with them at one and are still happily entertained by them at 5.  They love to fill up the wagon, dump it and move things.  It is very durable, one of my sons typically pulls the other around in the wagon.  The is easy to clean... always a plus when it comes to the little ones and avoiding th spread of germs... you have a built in storage container... only thing is that you may want more blocks but luckily you can purchase those separately and they are really inexpensive!  Both of my sons love them and I just purchased for my nephew as well for Christmas.  These make a great gift.  The wagon is light weight enough that even when it tips over you don't have to be in fear of injury.

perfect for toddling builder!

We actually received this as a hand-me-down from my brother in law whose son had grown out of it.  From the day this entered into our house until the present it has been an absolute hit.  The pieces are big enough to allow for them to be pushed together easily and the sides of the wagon have places where you can start building on.  The colors of the blocks is perfect- from red to yellow to even a few random black pieces to spike the visual recognizing of colors.  There is such a great variety of pieces from single blocks to double to triple to quadruple which helps build some unique structures.  I've always gotten frustrated with sets that come with too many of the same kind or too many of an odd kind, but this set has a great assortment of all the types.  The wagon isn't too heavy so it can be pulled around by an early walker easily.  The blocks also don't get worn out so they last and last through much use!

Great toy for preschoolers

5

My daughter received this wagon for a first birthday gift.  The older she gets, the more she plays with this toy.  I love that the blocks are so big and easy to handle, and that their size prevents them from being a chokig hazard to her younger sibling.  It is easy to teach her many different concepts while she's playing with this toy.  It probably isn't marketed as an educational toy, but there are so many ways to use it to teach.  We build fences with the blocks and talk about how her animals can be above, outside, and inside the fence.  It's great for teaching spatial relationships!  It's also great for teaching patterns, such as red, blue, red, blue, and then having your child extend those patterns.  It's great for counting and for gross motor skills.  I like that the blocks are colorful and that you can always buy more to have plenty on hand.  This toy has held up well over the last three years we've owned it.

Like the wagon and blocks seperately

My son likes to construct things so I was happy to see that he received this gift for his second birthday from his aunt.  I liked that it had a wagon for storage, but soon we were not really using the wagon for storing megablocks.  We have a large tub from our other megablocks so instead, he uses the wagon for different things.  He and his older sister like to use the wagon to pull their stuffed animals.  They have more fun doing this than pulling around their blocks.  The wagon is not that durable so it was tipping over and spilling out blocks all of the time.  But, we do love the blocks and the wagon.  The blocks are fun to make towers and we like them because they are easy to clean.  I just put a little bleach in the bath tub and let them soak and then dry on a towel in the bathroom.  I feel like megablocks are such classic toys that everyone should have because adults and children can both play with them and make houses and towers.  We have had ours for three years and the kids still emjoy them.

Wagon Rocks should come with more Blocks

**Purchased for 1 year old's birthday. Comes in 2 forms: Blue and Yellow for Boys and Pink and Purple for Girls.****Wagon comes with about 25 blocks of various sizes. ** **Pros: Wagon is a good size for 1-3 year olds. Handle is easy to lift and wagon is light enough (even full) for a 1 year old to push and pull around. Plenty of room to add other toys. Great when it comes to clean up time and storage. Over all good toy for creative play. Easy to buy more blocks to play with. Very inexpensive. Cons: There are a few places to build on (ie the handle) but there should be more space. Wish it came with more blocks. **

Fabulous entertainment for toddlers

I got this for my son's first birthday and both he and his older toddler sister have spent hours filling it, dumping it, and pulling/pushing it around the house.  It doesn't come with quite enough blocks and I wish there was more surface space to build on (the handle comes with the stacking space but it's not very big).  Overall, however, I'm impressed.

Developing my son's motor skills one "blok" at a time!

My son's playing habits seem to be changing rapidly the older he gets.  Now that he is 20 months old, he is more into stacking things and playing with cars, so I bought **Mega Bloks Lil' Wagon **because it incorporates both things he loves.  He can stack the bloks or pull the wagon around the house. The store had different types and sizes of Mega Bloks.  I chose the **Mega Bloks Lil' Wagon **because not only is the wagon fun to pull around the house, it is also how you store the bloks so they aren't loose all over the house - well they still are loose around the house, but at least they have a home.  I like this toy because it is not only fun, but developmental.  It enhances motor skills and develops a creative way of thinking.  I like how easy these blocks are to connect together.  I expected them to be tight like Legos, but they attach very easily and pull apart easily too. The **Mega Bloks Lil' Wagon **comes with 20 bloks of varying sizes and colors.  The label on the wagon states that this toy is recommended for little ones one year and up.  I would definitely buy them again and think they would make a great gift.
