The best pump ever!

5

This is by far the best pump I have ever used and I've used several. I have rented mine for all 3 of my children. It's a hospital grade pump offering the best suction. I absolutely love it and reccomend it to all. It's a little heavy and not good for daily travel but I have taken it with me on vacation.

Absolute best - Hospital grade breast pump

5

I adopted my son and wanted to breast feed. I took supplements and herbs and need to pump to stimulate my milk everyday. This is the breast pump that I used. It is like a milking machine! It does a GREAT job! Comfort This machine is for women who aren't getting any milk. It's suction is very strong and it pulls strongly at the nipple. It doesn't hurt, it is just quite forceful. There is a speed control dial on the machine to change the suction. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning a breast pump is a pain. The device itself is quite simple, and comes apart for cleaning. All of the tubing and shields and valves- etc.- the are a hassle to clean but a necessity if you are using any breast pump. Durability It truly is a milking machine. This is not a machine that is light weight and easy to carry around. It is very sturdy. Versatility The fact that has different speeds makes is versatile. Ease of Use The breast pump itself is easy to use. That is what I am basing my rating on. The tubing, how it goes on, the shields, the bags- that's a hassle but doesn't have to do with the pump itself.

First time pumping.

So I had a little boy in November and he was diagnosed with TOF. The docs caught it around my 10wks into my pregnancy. I have already three kids. I breastfeeding all of them. Never breast pumped before. So after I had my little man, I was told after surgery he will be tube fed for at least 5wks. Well he had his surgery 5days after birth. So I was introduced to this breast pump. Never used one before I was scared. And really wishing to have contact with my newborn. I finally started using this product and found it to be smooth. Not too rough on my nipples. I used it 5days after giving birth. And was offered to take this pump home. Still confused about everything. I sucked it up and took the pump home. Worried at night pump will the noise be too much? It wasn't at all. The pump was quite and just as smooth home as it was in the hospital. I really was thankful for this pump. The bottles and supplies that came with it was all in sterile packages. And the system was light to carry to change rooms thur out my house. Please give this a try. My first time pumping was great. With this pump. Thanks. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning was easy.

Got milk?

This is perfect for anyone who really needs a pump that is effective and easy and fast. I used this pump after having a daughter with special needs and wasn't able to nurse all the time. I had used a less powerful pump with my first child and have used the Lactina Select with my 2nd and 3rd daughters and will never use anything else...it's that good! Versatility Casual pumping, pumping exclusively, premie, etc.

Nothing else on the market like it, this product cannot be beat!

Life saver. It's a little loud and has a little motor like sound, kind of awkward looking, but the hospital grade pump does not even compare to any other pump on the market. I borrowed it from my sister who says the same thing. Durability This is one of those things that you know can take a lot of stress. Definitely hospital grade. Versatility Single or double...?

Great closed system pump

The medela lactina select is a hospital grade pump and a closed system so you can purchase all the new attachments and it can be shared among different breastfeeding mothers without the risk of contamination your breast milk. Weather you are a first time mom planning on just one or two kids or a mom of many or multiples the medela lactina select is a great pump to purchase because you can also pass it on when you are done having kids or using it and resell this one! I loved my medela lactina select you can choose a stronger suction and variable speeds from one to ten I believe. I used the medela lactina select at home and used the medela single delux breast pump for on the go pumping since it was small and convenient. I recommend purchasing a medela lactina select over renting one because you can always resell it and get a portion of your investment back. For me personally this is not an on the go pump I need one that is lightweight and very compact between 2 kids a diaper bag purse and what ever else. I found the medela lactina select was an excellent pump for convenience at home but not on the go.

Awesome

I own a Medela Pump In Style that I use at home to pump, and this pump is provided for me at work. Several of us in my workplace use this pump. One great thing about this pump is that it is a closed system, so multiple women can use itr and not worry about cross contamination. It is quiet, and allows me to have better milk output than my Pump In Style. I know they are expensive and the cost may not be practical for someone who only pumps occasionally, but I think if you have a problem with milk output or are pumping exclusivly, this is the pump for you. I lvoe that I can pump one or both breasts at the same time. I dont think it is very friendly to if you want to transport it from place to place, but it rolls easily from one room to the next. This pump is awesome and I recommend it to the long term pumper. It is very reliable and a very high quality product. It is worth the price, if you can afford it.

Superior breast pump: expensive but WORTH IT (or try renting)!

The Medela Lactina Select breast pump is a life saver for moms that want to continue to breast feed their baby after returning to work or school. Also perfect or for any time away (date night with hubby!) when you will need to leave a bottle for someone else to feed baby. This would work for SAHMs, WAHMs, working moms, or moms that need to increase their milk supply. Very easy to use. I had a 'pump station' set up in a rocker that worked for me. You can get car adapters if you need to pump and do not have access to a wall outlet. You can also detach the pump and use it manually, though I never did. These are top-of-the-line pumps and are some of the most expensive pumps out there. If you plan to exclusively breastfeed your baby, the cost will be made up in the formula you do not buy. Many hospitals rent them for a reasonable fee, so you can try before you buy if you are unsure of the purchase. If you plan to have more than one baby and breastfeed them all, I highly recommend this investment!
