We are currently renting a house and have this particular Maytag Refrigerator in our house. It is pretty basic, with the freezer on top. It works fine, except that it is not large enough for all of our fridge goods and have to clean it out often to fit everything. With a family of 4 and regular cooking, we have a lot of items and it just doesn't hold all of our food/drinks. We also have to duck down to look into the fridge which we don't prefer. It also does not have a built in water filter feature which is nice to have. However, it works as needed and have not had any problems so would recommend it only as a basic fridge w/o any extras. Noise Level The fridge is quiet and has not been noisy. Interior Organization It is hard to organize food and juices in the fridge. We always have to move things around to get to other items. Temperature Control Items have always been cold so seems to be working okay. Ease of Cleaning Cleaning seems to be easy on this fridge, just wipe down the shelves regularly. Durability So far, the fridge has held up with 2 small boys in the house. The shelves are study and hold weight well (juices, milk jugs, etc.). Design The fridge on bottom just doesn't work well for us. My husband is tall and he has to bend over quite a bit to reach into it.

I love my refridge I priviously had a older model that was noisy and old and smelled and it didn't smell for lack of cleaning it just stunk. I have had this refridgerator for a while and i love it it is roomy and easy to clean keeps food cold and is quiet to i like that this fridge i love the fruit and vegtable drawers i think they keep produce fresher longer (in my opinion). I love that this fridge inside and outside are both easily cleanable and that it has enough storage room for a family of five like ours its a great option and i love maytag appliance so i definatly recommend this one to anyone looking. check if your store has it and see first hand if you like it before buying I am glad we purchased this one.I would buy it again if I ever need another! We got this fridge two years ago and it has been good so far. I feel like it is a good size and easy to organize foods. The downside is if things are in the back of the fridge, it gets way to cold and will freeze. I don't even have the temperature turned up very high, but it's just a glitch with this fridge. I have had many things ruined that way so be careful! Overall it fulfills its need and does a good job.

we just moved and bought this fridge. its pretty nice for a basic fridge. it has a lot of space in the fridge but not to much in the freezer area we did have to buy a separate deep freezer. the fridge is brightly lit and easy to clean. i like the big adjustable shelves on the door too. very quiet i dont think it has made a sound yet.

Purchased new in Nov 2010, this refrigerator only lasted eight months. Had three service calls and the "Maytag" repairman could not fix it. Kept ordering parts (circuit board, switches, etc.). Each time took 1-1.5 weeks. Still no working refrigerator. Finally, I supposed to get a new refrigerator, but Maytag Customer Service is dragging their feet. It's been 6 weeks and no working refrigerator. Tired of eating out. Tired of not having cold milk. Take this Mexican refrigerator and dump it. Next time, I'm buying Korean.

It's a decent refrigerator for the price. Like most modern, decently priced refrigerators, it doesn't have a spacious freezer. If you need a lot of freezer space I would recommend getting another model or a separate freezer. The refrigerator part is pretty roomy and brightly lit. It includes an ice maker, two humidity-controlled crisper bins, a deli drawer, tempered glass shelves and three re-adjustable door drawers. The door drawers will only be able to hold one gallon container. The removable shelves make cleaning easy, although I would've liked if the shelves were spill-proof. The refrigerator occasionally makes weird noises for what I assume is the defrost cycle. Other than that, if you're looking for a nice moderately priced refrigerator this is a great choice.

I have always loved Maytag [and same company products] but in the space of 2 weeks we have had 2 brand new Maytag refrigerators brought into the house...and neither one cooled down on even the coldest setting to the safe area. The 2nd one had the bottom drawer fall pff the slots and no amount of trying to realign it would work. We are switching to a different brand of near the same size.

When we moved into our current house, we had this Maytag fridge with the top freezer. For the first four years, it was all we needed. It is not a fancy fridge, it just has basic functions--a few drawers and shelves and that's it. The freezer was fine for us during that time as well. After that time though, the freezer did not have enough space. I got very creative with putting stuff in the freezer and got to be a master packer! We had to buy another freezer to store our stuff. Now that we have the other freezer, this works just fine. If I weren't so practical, I would get rid of this fridge and buy a new one with all of the bells and whistles, but I can't because this does the job just fine.

The Maytag Top Freezer Refrigerator (model # M1TXXEMMWW) is a good value for the money.  We were looking to replace a 21 cubic foot refrigerator with one of approximately the same size.  Also needed a refrigerator that had a reversible door, which this one has.  I was pleased with all the online reviews I had read and the sale price of this refrigerator.  We've now owned this model for seven months and I say it has been problem free.  It has an ice maker that has never leaked and makes ice pretty fast.  The shelves are adjustable including the shelves on the refrigerator door.  Things that we're not pleased about are: (1) The refrigerator tends to be loud during the defrost cycle.  It drips water into a drain pain below the refrigerator that was a bit scary until we found the source.  (2) I'm still not sure how we will be able to clean the coils located under the refrigerator.  (Vacuum hose is too large to get in there.)  (3) Even though this is the same size refrigerator as our last one, it seems to hold less food and beverages in both the freezer and refrigerator section. If you need a large refrigerator and are looking to save money, I would recommend this model.  If you had a bit more to spend, I would look for a different refrigerator that was designed a little better in the interior to store more food.
