Recently our dishwasher died. We started looking through the paper and found this one on sale at a good price. We bought it and put it in ourselves. It installed quite easy. It seemed to install similarly to another dishwasher that I we had. We have found it to be quiet for the most part. It seems to clean our dishes well. We have only used to tablet type dish soap but have found it to be enough to get the job done. The silverware basked is different in this one then our last one. I think I still prefer the last one over this one but I am getting used to it.  The dish cycle seems to take about the same amount of time as our last one. I like how easy the filters seem to be to clean in this model. They are easy to wipe off or to pull and rinse. We like the rack configuration in this model. I think even through it is the same size as our last dishwasher the racks allow us to fit more dished in at one time. We are very happy with this!

This dishwasher really cleans the tough stuff. i dont have to wash the dishes before i wash the dishes anymore. i scrape off the excess food, put in the dishwasher and call it good. my dishes always come out clean and sparkley

"This is by far the best of the best on the market. Maytag makes the only true quite dishwasher. So much attention has been focused on the quiteness. Very low sound and most of the time you don't even know it is washing. Tap on the inside of the door and try other brands and you will "hear" the difference. Prewashing is certainly over with when using this dishwasher. Wheather you use it once a week or daily it is so worth the money, just for the wonderful cleaning and quiteness."   It comes with a food sensor and disposal feature so there is no need to prewash heavily.  My 21 year old son is responsible for loading the dishwasher and even with him doing it they come out sparkling.  With our old machine we were having to "check" everything before using.  My son was even suprised by the difference in the two machines.  He had always thought they were just fine before.  I would definately recommend the Maytag 24 In. Built-In Tall Tub Dishwasher.
