I have noticed that when I get my eyes wet or moist at all, this mascara will start to run all over my face and eyes, and it's a little bit frustrating and annoying. Other than that, I think that this makes my eyelashes very thick and long, and it looks very nice.

This is a great formula for people who just want to darken their lashes. No volume, no length, just enhances what your mama gave you. Another great thing about his formula: no clumps, and it only flakes after its been in use for a few months...time to replace it anyway! Its perfect for everyday, though if you want a more dramatic look for special occasions, you might prefer something else. The waterproof formula and regular formula are both equally great, so its all about what you prefer. I have used both, but prefer the waterproof. Since this mascara provides such a natural look ,i dont feel the need to take it off every night. i wash my face before bed, but dont use any special makeup remover on my eyes. If the mascara comes off, fine, if not, its there for tomorrow! My eyes have been noticeably sensitive to some mascaras...probably ones that flake. I have never had this problem with this formula =) Performance Works like a dream! Dries fast, doesn't flake, long wearing. Ease of Application this mini brush is great for application and avoiding clumps!

The best part of this mascara is the mini brush which is probably half the size of the regular mascara brushes. I was very happy when I discovered it about five years ago, and it's had a permanent place in my makeup bag ever since. You can get every single little last lash with the little brush - even the short ones in the corner of your eyes that are usually hard to get to. Also, the "very black" is perfect and really makes your eyes POP and doesn't leave clumps like many other brands do. The one drawback is that it doesn't lengthen lashes so much - only defines what you already have, so if that's what you're looking for, you will likely need to find another brand. This one has a much more natural "girl next door" kind of look when you use it. This is a great everyday mascara, and you could find a different, more dramatic one for those weekend nights out.

I have been buying Maybelline Lash Discovery for so long that I can't remember when I started.  I think this is the best product on the market.  I have sensitive skin can can't use a lot of product especially make up remover so I rely solely on water.  This mascara is as easy to take off as it is to put on.  The mascara has a small detailed brush which doesn't cause the mascara to clump when you're applying it.  It also allows you to do your lower lashes without any mess.  I think this is a great low lasting product.  It doesn't get dried out and looking completely natural.  I can make my eyelashes as thick or as long as I want by just reapplying.  You would think that since the tube is narrow that the mascara wouldn't last as long as it does.  If the store I go to doesn't carry this product, I wouldn't buy something else.  I would got to another store and find this mascara.  I've tried many brands through the years, and Maybelline Lash Discovery is a brand I trust and will continue to use.  I only hope that they never discontinue this product!  I would definitely pay whatever for this product.

Maybelline has always been the only brand of mascara I can use.  Any other brand I've tried has caused a reaction.  This particular variety is my favorite so far.  You really can't go wrong with any of Maybelline's line, but here's why this is my favorite.  The brush is so tiny that it's easy to apply mascara to all of my lashes without getting color all over my face.  I have short, light lashes and this tiny brush works well.  I also don't like water proof mascara since it's so hard to remove.  If my eyes are watering and I rub them, this will smudge but it also comes off my face easily with my finger or a tissue.  I find I don't necessarily have to use a makeup remover to get this product off.  My usual face wash mostly does the trick.  It also doesn't clump up or get crusty.  My lashes still feel pretty soft with this product on.  I don't know that it truly lengthens my lashes, but it does make them stand out better and gives definition to my eyes.

Maybelline New York Lash Discovery mascara has two sides to it.  It lengthens your lashes very well, and the very black color is perfect for dramatic eyes that stand out.  However, I have found that it smudges terribly, leaving black under my eyes.  I often use it in addition to my normal mascara as it takes a while to apply it to my entire lashes since it is a mini brush.  The brush is very good, though. The bristles are in a spiral shape around the wand, and they are very effective.  This brush gets even my tiniest lashes and doesn't clump much.  Like I said, it makes quite a statement, and I would expect it would look great with a smoky eyeshadow.  I only use mine every once in a while, because I don't really like looking like I have a black eye, but when I do use it I do like the effect.  I own the very black color, so maybe a brown-black color would smudge less, but it would also probably be less dramatic.  All in all, I do like this mascara.

I am always on the look out for Mascaras that are waterproof and soft. This one works!   I get no clump lashes unless the bottle is getting old then I know it is time for a new one. Maybelline Lash Discovery gets just about every lash and gives you the lash volume without the heavy clumpy look you can get with some other mascaras.  I also like that it comes in both black and blackish brown.  When you're fair skinned the black can look too harsh, but the blackish brown is softer and more natural.. However, sometimes in can be hard to find the blackish brown at stores. Also the brush is soft and easy to clean The downside is that it is so waterproof that it is a little tough to get off without several passes of the washcloth.  Your best bet is to use warm soap and water first and then your regular cleanser.  Even with that factor, it is still a great mascara and  I would still highly recommend this to friends.

I've never been all that into makeup - I usually just get what's on sale.  But Maybelline's Lash Discovery mascara goes on sale frequently enough that I've tried it a lot.  I have naturally longer eyelashes and I love that it defines my lashes.  I really love that it does not clump up and have chunks on the brush.  It also does not cause my eyelashes to clump together, but the mascara separates them and makes them a bit darker (I prefer the "very black" tint but the "brownish black" also works just fine) so that it frames my eyes nicely without looking like I gooped a lot of paint on my eyelashes.  It's a subtle, pretty look. I could probably look around at the mall and find some really nice, expensive mascara, but it's really just not worth in when I can go to the grocery store and find a good product like this for a quarter of the price.  Maybelliene's Lash Discovery is definitely my mascara of choice!

My understanding of Maybelline Lash Discovery Mascara is that it is made, as the name would suggest, to find every lash.  This is accomplished by using a tiny, thin wand/brush.  I tried using it on my upper lashes for a couple days but didn't see that it got mascara to any more lashes that other mascaras I've used, and the formula isn't really made to add volume or length, so I wasn't too impressed.  Rather than just not using Lash Discovery Mascara anymore, I instead started using it on my lower lashes, where I don't want too much mascara and a small brush was handy.  I normally don't put mascara on my lower lashes too often, because they are quite long and with mascara on they just look like too much, but the tiny Lash Discovery brush was nice because I could add just a little bit of mascara to them without really coating them.  It is also nice for lower lashes because I haven't had any problem with flaking or smearing at all.  I have actually re-purchased Lash Discovery mascara for this purpose alone, but I still don't care for the job that it does on my upper lashes.

I love this mascara! It is the best mascara I have found out there and I am willing to bet that any-one who tries it is going to love it! I love how skinny the applicator stick is. I wear contacts a lot and it is nice to have a skinny applicator as it is easier to use. One time I used a different brand of mascara and the applicator was so big and hard to control that I jabbed my eye and had to clean my contacts right away. Very frustrating. This mascara also has great color and it lasts very, very well. I can easily wear it for a full day and out at night without having to reapply at all. I would recommend this mascara to any-one as it also lasts a very long time. With me putting it on once each day 365 days a year it has lasted me over a whole year. I think that is phenomenal. I am very happy with the results I have acheived using this mascara. The price is also pretty reasonable which is a big plus!
