I was given this Mario Badescu Drying Mask product by my friend who had received a free sample of the product. This product contains calamine which makes the mask safe for the skin and does not cause any reaction. It helps in reducing acne on the skin and is suitable for all skin types. I read the instructions given in the manual carefully and washed my skin after 20 minutes. I used this product for about two months and applied it twice in a week during these two months. This product helps my skin a lot and made it clear and smooth and most of the marks on my face vanished after using this product. The ingredients of this product include Aqua, Kaolin, Hydrolysed Wheat Starch, Calamine and Ichthammol which help in making the skin soft and curing acne problems. The product is definitely very effective on dry skin and it does not have any side effects. I would recommend this product.

Normally at home masks are a big hit and miss for me, usually a miss. I just do not find at home masks that often that deliver really noticeable results and allow me to see big improvements in my complexion. This Mario Badescu drying mask though, is amazing, probably one of the best masks that I have used at home in a very long time. The key ingredient, which is sulphur, is so good for drying up oils and dirty sebum in your skin that clog your pores and cause all of those ugly pimples on your face. The only thing is, this mask smells a lot like sulphur,and can be pretty stinky! I only used it in the bathroom one time and was choked out by the smell, so now when I apply it, I go to a better ventilated area so that I can tolerate it. I also use it in certain places as I have combination skin. My t zone is where I mainly apply it, as my cheeks are very dry and this is not good for them. It keeps my problem areas so clear and smooth, with zero little bumps.

This mask is far better compared to MB's Drying Lotion when used as a spot treatment. I rarely break out, but recently had a few bumps appear on my cheek , one of which came to a head thanks to the Drying Lotion I used the night before. The other two were still below the surface and a little red and painful. I decided to try the Drying Mask I bought as a spot treatment instead of the lotion on the bumps. The next day, they were not only completely flattened but also no longer red, and the one that had been a whitehead the day before had healed. It took the mask only overnight to do what my face would take a week to do on its own. As for the smell, I don't think it's bad, but it would be better of ot smelled a little nicer. Effectiveness It works great even though I use it more as a spot treatment than a mask. Ease of Application Very easy either dot on acne with a q-tip or smear all over the entire face. Convenience Easier to use as spot remover but it's not hard to put on in mask form then rinse off. Side Effects I haven't experienced side effects and I have sensitive skin. Immediacy I've found it to show results overnight in some case and in other cases by two days I have great results.

this is great if you suffer from acne! while it is probably not wise to put it all over your face, it is great for your t-zone or wherever you tend to break out. when i first opened the jar i was a bit taken aback buy the smell of the sulfur but i was happy that it doesn;t have any added synthetic fragrance. when i put it on the smell wasn't as noticeable. I left it on only for 20 minutes and only applied a really thin layer on my t- zone and it completely drew out all the gunk from my pores and skin. this is the only thing I've found to quickly draw them out until they've become a whitehead and can be easily popped. now i have quite dry skin but i didn't find that this irritated my in anyway so i think it can be used on all skin types. the only problem i have with it is it doesn't prevent acne, it only treats what you have. bu it is great if you are breaking out and need something to wipe out you zits. i think it is one of the better acne masks out there.

Ok, this product has gotten rave reviews all over the net for getting rid of blemishes quickly but I haven't had the same results. It does work but not that quickly. I would say it takes about a week to completely clear up a blemish (small bumps and even the under the skin ones). It works pretty good on whiteheads too (about 2-3 days). I use it more as concealer and it works great for the purpose. It soaks up oil and covers scars and blemishes very well. If you have sensitive skin (like me) that gets red easily, this helps get rid of redness. It also does not clog the pores so it's safe to use anytime.  I use it during the day IF I am going out somewhere. It has a light brownish color to it but it blends into my skin pretty well. I also sometimes where it at night and when I wake up in the morning I do notice a reduction in size of blemishes. They suggest that you use this OVER your moisturizer and it's safe to use under makeup if you were it (I don't). I use this in conjunction with a few other products but all-in-all it's definitely something good to have in your stash. The sample size is enough to last for months!

Works almost as well as the drying lotion but last lotion and you get more bang for your buck. Plus it is brown (instead of pink like the drying lotion) so it's less awkard to wear it at night around roommates or a significant other.

The name of this product is slightly misleading. This isn't like a clay mask that dries on your skin and 'dries out' the oil. This seems to absorb the oil, but it doesn't dry out your skin. So it's even better than you'd think. Don't freak out when your skin doesn't feel dry and kinda uncomfortable. This has a strong smell, slightly sulfury smelling but extremely earthy smelling. And the color, well, it looks like dirt. But the imporant part is, this stuff works. When my skin is broken out~ which means uncomfortable bumps under the skin on my chin~ I use this and it really seems to relieve and alleviate the breakout. The bumps feel less sore and it begins the healing process for my skin. I alternate the drying cream with the healing cream and the combination really heals my skin and when used before the breakouts it will prevent them! And for even more power combine the other Mario Badescu acne products like the Buffering lotion and the Drying Lotion.

A couple of months ago, when I was desperately looking for a skincare line that would help clear up blemishes due to hormonal issues, I ordered a number of products from Mario Badescu and received this as a sample.  One of the products I bought was the Buffering Lotion and it is recommended that you use this Drying Mask along with it.  I had high hopes for this product given how much I like the Drying Lotion and Healing and Soothing Mask, but the second I opened the lid I knew we'd have problems.  The smell is AWFUL!  Now if a product works well enough, I'm willing to stomach the smell, but I just couldn't do it.  I put it on and after only a few minutes it seriously made me naseous.  I tried again another night hoping if I went to sleep I wouldn't notice it and was able to make it through the night but didn't notice a big difference in my skin the next morning.  If they were to get rid of the awful smell I might give it a try but there are far better products out there that work better and don't make you sick to your stomach!

The **Mario Badescu drying mask** is another product that I received as a sample. Given the expensive pricing of the Mario Badescu line, I definitely would not purchase this product with my own money. I tried it only a few times, but the smell of the drying mask was seriously so unplesant that it deterred me from using it again. Basically, I applied it after washing and drying my face. I used a farily thin layer all over the face, and left it on for ten to fifteen minutes until it dried. After washing it off, I felt like I still couldn't get rid of the awful smell. In fact, the unpleasant, sulfurous smell, which was evocative of rotten eggs, even seemed to linger on my fingers. Not surprisingly, I stopped using this product after a few times, since it didn't really do much for my skin on top of being unpleasant smelling. I recently dug up my jar of drying mask and discovered that the whole thing had formed a hard brick, so my guess is that you should use up this product quickly before it dries out.****

I originally received the drying mask with a set of samples from the company, after filling out their online skincare survey.  Mario Badescu products don't have a lot of additives and that is pretty evident in this mask, which contains (and smells heavily of) sulfur. The drying mask is *the* product that got me hooked.  I have tried a wide variety of skincare products, drug store, department store, folklore, home remedies... and Mario Badescu is the ONLY line of products I have found that show me any results.  I have combination skin, acne scarring, and even survived my teen years to enjoy an early adulthood peppered with acne.  The drying mask worked immediately.  I saw results as soon as I removed it.  My skin cleared up even more over night.  I have added this mask to my skincare regimen and while I no longer have much trouble with acne, I continue to use the mask because I noticed that it evens out my skin tone.  For the first time in my life, I can leave the house with no make-up and not feel self-conscious.  In fact, I very rarely wear a foundation at all anymore.  I was thrilled when I could drop the medium and heavy coverages for a tinted moisturizure (something I thought I would NEVER be able to do) and am even happier now that I don't HAVE to wear any make-up at all!
