I am an avid baker and I seldom find anything that meets my expectations. I bought one of these in a pinch. I did not have time to bake my own. My family never knew the difference. The crust is golden and delicious. The apples tender and tart. There is just enough sugar in it to take the tang out of the tartness while not losing the true apple flavor. It smells wonder when it is baking also. I was impressed, most frozen pies do not come close to the greatness of home baking. Hard to believe it was made in a pie factory. If I did not know better I would have thought Marie Callender prepared this delicious delight in her own kitchen, while her family anxiously awaited. Thumbs up! I love it!
