I haven't had much experience with washers or dryers, this one is my first one and it was givin to me. To me it seems to be a good machine, there are 3 washing modes, I only use one of them, but I haven't had any problems yet even though it is a pretty old machine. For a first it is a good one, but I will stick with this one too until it breaks because I think it is that good. It gets the clothes nice and clean, I do have some balancing problems at times but nothing that is serious or can't be fixed with a little shove. I'm not really too sure what else I can tell you, I am not an expert and all I can tell is my experience, which the last owner didn't think the machine worked good enough for her but I don't see anything wrong with it. The machine has lasted it is still here and going strong.
