This Magic Chef dishwasher has been with me for 15+ years. It has a basket for silverware, a dishwashing soap compartment in the inside door and another compartment for "rinse agents". I only put vinegar in that. This has what's called "Temp Boost" and a little setting switch so you can choose whether to air dry the clean dishes, which I always do. I don't know if the heated dry button works, I've never tried it. Air drying is alot more energy efficient. I love my dishwasher, and someday when it finally conks out for good, we'll replace it with an Energy Star model. This is a no-frills, nothing-fancy Magic Chef, and it was new in my home when I bought it. This has only had one problem in all these 15+ years. The dial got stuck a couple of years ago and it was covered by our existing home warranty, so it was free to fix it. It runs quietly and efficiently and we've had no other problems with it.
