I work every day on a different route all around the country: cities, villages, all the god-forgotten places. We are 500 driving employees, majority uses different GPSs so I know what I'm saying and I have a lot of models to compare with. Magellan 3000T is the most precise GPS you can ever buy on the market. It will never screw you anywhere and gives you perfect timing on high driving speeds. It beats all the Garmins, Tomtoms etc. I use it nonstop for 3 full time years and I'm VERY HAPPY with the machine and its battery. Negatives: bulky, two top buttons need to get used to them, maps need to be updated (I guess it concerns all the GPSs), no option for truck drivers. But what you really need on the road is speed and precision: my baby beats ALL the competitors.

Magellan 3000T was the best travel item my husband and I purchased, it saved my husband from leaving me at a rest stop when we travel by car. It made traveling to other states a pleasure for me I didn't have to worry about getting lost it always pointed us in the correct direction even when we hit detours on the road. It locates places of interest, restaurants, restroom,etc.... I could read my book leaving the driving to my husband, it actually helped me stop being a back seat driver and gave him a little peace on the road while driving, he didn't have to listen to me nag about getting lost. I feel  that every car should be equiped with a GPS, it makes driving a pleasure.
