easy to use and cost-effective

We purchased these earplugs for my toddler to use during swimming because he has a hole in his ear from frequent ear infections. They are easy to put in, and fit any shape or size of ear canal because they are so malleable. They seem to be comfortable, as he doesn't complain or seem to notice them once they are in. He has been using them for over a year, and his ears have stayed healthy.

Absolutely the best OTC earplugs on the market, period!

My husband supervises a crew of aircraft technicians at Gulfstream Aerospace. If a Gulfstream Executive Jet needs to be serviced or has a problem, my husband can either do the job himself or see that it gets done correctly, every single time. He has a great job and we are very fortunate that he works for such a great company. There is one glaring problem when servicing jets, though, and that's the roaring of those two jet engines. They are super charged and super loud. The crews don't only service engines, the upkeep and fix everything from structural damage to clogged sinks and everything in between. When they do service engines, or do Engine Runs, it's mandatory that the employees wear earplugs for obvious reasons. Can you imagine being inside a climate controlled hangar with two or four jet engines running? Really good earplugs are not a convenience, they are a necessity. The company provides earplugs, individually wrapped in plastic with a plastic string attached to each side so that they can be hung around the necks of the employees, and they are kept in large buckets on the walls on the hangars so they are easy to get to. But, in reality, those bright orange earplugs are good, but they aren't the best, and my husband's ears deserve the best. A fellow crew lead introduced my husband to **Mack's Pillow Soft Earplugs**, and they aren't just great, they are wonderful! These white, silicone putty earplugs block out noise, (and water, for those of you who need earplugs for that reason), better than any other earplugs my husband has ever used, and he has used many types and brands of earplugs over the course of the past 25 years that he has been employeed by Gulfstream. My husband keeps Mack's Pillow Soft Earplugs on hand at all times and buys more long before he runs out! He swears by them and now he has every member of his crew swearing by them, too. They are THAT good! Manufacturer's Product Description: ***"#1 doctor's recommended brand for sealing out water, reducing noise and for use with ear tubes. Made in the USA."*** - *Snore and water proof* - *Helps prevent swimmer's ear * - *Use for swimming, sleeping, studying, showering, working, travel, sports, loud events, flying discomfort, etc * - *Noise reduction rating 22 decibels (when used as directed) * - *Made with non-toxic, hypoallergenic silicone putty * - *May be used in chlorinated water* **Directions For Use:** *1. Make sure hands and ear openings are clean and dry. Shape whole plug into a ball**2. Place plug over ear opening and flatten to form airtight seal. Avoid hair No! Do not insert into ear canal. To loosen and remove, press up behind ear. Discard when soiled or not longer sticky (up to 5 uses). For best results when flying, wear earplugs entire flight. Do not cut, break apart or elongate earplugs.* Mack's Pillow Soft Earplugs may leave your ears a little bit sticky when you remove them, but it wipes away very easily and the small amount of stickiness is more than worth the amount of noise reduction and sealing of your ears that they provide. They are the number one brand recommended by doctor's for a reason, because they work better than any other earplugs you can buy. Take it from someone who has had years of experience using earplugs--someone who uses earplugs to help block noise that's much louder than snoring--Mack's Pillow Soft work the best and I don't believe you're going to find any better OTC earplugs. Mack's Pillow Soft Earplugs are used by someone who needs the best of the best and he uses this product exclusively. These earplugs were recommended for my husband and now my husband recommends them on a regular basis, and he knows a whole lot about loud noises and earplugs. 5 stars and a very, very strong recommendation for a terrific product that works wonderfully!

Mack's Pillow Soft Earplugs saved my marriage!

Mack's Pillow Soft earplugs are unique in that they are made out of a soft, somewhat sticky silicone putty that fits over the opening of the ear canal to seal out noise. The putty warms up with your body heat to create a seal that perfectly conforms to your individual ear. I have had trouble with foam earplugs because I have very narrow ear canals. I could never get the earplugs in correctly, so they did not block out the sound like they were supposed to. I was losing hours of sleep every night because my husband snores, and I couldn't find a solution. Even with a fan on, I'd wake up several times each night. I discovered Mack's about a month ago and I've been sleeping like a baby ever since! However, they did take some getting used to. The silicone is somewhat sticky, so it collects fuzz from your pillow, and if you have long hair, it tends to stick. This took some getting used to. They can be reused several times, so I've found it helpful to keep them stored in their plastic case when not in use so they stay as fuzz-free as possible. I've grown accostomed to the feel of them in my ears at night, and I'm sleeping so much better now that I keep a supply on hand so I'm never without them!
