Ok, I never really purchases high end mascaras, I thought all were the same until I started getting into make-up. I soon realized my little dinky Avon wasn't really cutting it thought and giving me the look that I desired. I signed up for a sample on facebook and received it almost 2 months later. It's a tiny sample but let me tell you, the wand is curved and I already have long lashes but I applied to my lashes and this mascara made them look thicker and full. I used this too when I applied falsies (false eyelashes) and they didn't seem to be disturbed the only thing is it isn't really waterproof, I went outside when it rained to get some mail and my eyes were like raccoon eyes but it didn't drip, just seemed like I sweated out some eyeliner. I'm sure there are other mascaras on the market that I will be willing to try. So I am waiting. But this one isn't my favorite, I'm just not going to be going out of my way to have this in my make-up bag. Sorry MAC this wasn't for me.

Once upon a time, I used to use a fantastic mascara called Lancome Definicils. My lashes looked great and I felt nice and sophisticated. When MAC came out with Zoomlash that was almost half the price, I tried it. The results of Zoomlash were nicer than Definicils. When MAC came out with Zoomlash Fast Black I had to try it. MAC Zoomlash Fast Black is a gel based mascara which means that it will build on itself but has to take a little longer to set than many other mascara formulas. This version is very dark black which gives more definition to the lashes. I have some friends with stubby lashes that use this mascara and won't use anything else. Performance Although this mascara takes a little longer to set than other formulas, the results are worth it. Lashes are defined and separated, There is a bit of volume, but more length involved. The color black is excellent definition for the lashes. I have not had any problems with flaking, crumbling, or smearing when wet, unless my eyes are watering profusely due to crying or excessive allergies. Other than that, it stays on very well. There is also no problem with burning or itching either. Ease of Application For some reason, I am not sure why, but this mascara is a bit challenging to put on- I always end up with a little schmear under my left eye. I have talked to a few others who have had similar experiences so it must be something in the brush design. The gel formula that makes it have to set a little bit longer can be challenging if you are in a big hurry, but for the most part it isn't too bad.

I've always had a difficult time trying to find a mascara that lengthens and volumizes but doesn't clump, giving my lashes the spider legs effect. Mac Zoom lash give me the desired look I've been seeking. It goes on smooth and does not make my lashes brittle, like most of the drugstore mascaras do. It has become my go to mascara since I discovered it.

I love this mascara. I had to put this outhere first, I actually use this macara with the lacoste masacara and I only use put on one layer of each. I get so many compliment from this and I love the look! Actually I got this tip from Kim Kardashian. I read in a fashion maganize from an interview that was done with her and I did not think she was promoting the products I think she was being honest because when i was testing out there two products in a department store I loved the way it looked. I do not use makeup often but when I did just put these two layers of mascara on and it seems as if i got my makeup done professionally. There products are a must have and they lasted longer then getting cheaper end products because usually i have to put multiple coats on before it starts too look good. This product was given a proper name zoom takes it to another level. I have think eye lashes so its difficult for a product to keep them lifted this mascara has done what others could not.

I have a love-hate relationship with this mascara so I'm going to break it down to pros and cons. First the pros: it makes my already long lashes even longer. No kidding, it actually adds length. The black color is a good black. Maybe not "the" blackest of all mascaras in the market but it's pretty up there. Upon application, my hazel eyes instantly stand out and seem much lighter than it really is. The cons: Although this mascara gives length, it tends to group my lashes into sections giving it the spider legs look I hate so much. My lashes are already thick to begin with but when I have this on, it actually ends up looking thinner because of the grouping that happens to it. I would prefer for a mascara to have better separation of lashes but this doesn't accomplish that in the least bit, no matter how little amount I apply. Additionally, it tends to clump if there is too much product on the wand. It's also pretty heavy and tends to straighten out the curl in my lashes. I hesitate to wear this during day time because it can look dramatic but not necessarily in a good way. I much prefer MAC's Pro Lash during daytime because of its lighter and non clumping consistency so the Zoom Lash has taken a backseat to it.

I was a little leery about purchasing this mascara because I had heard some negative comments about the wearability of MAC mascaras.  Although MAC Cosmetics are well regarded and highly praised in general, their mascaras have suffered from mixed reviews.  Still, seeing my daughter's darkly-coated lashes after using **MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara**, I decided to try it for myself.  It's not a perfect mascara, but the final results looked pretty good. **Color:**  The color is an intense, deepest black.  According to the company, the formula contains "carbon black pigment," which accounts for the deep and dramatic color. **Formula:**  The formula is gel-like, and a little goopier than your average mascara.  Some people aren't going to like that texture, but it didn't bother me too much.  **Zoom Fast Mascara** contains silica for volume, panthenol for eyelash conditioning, and vitamin e for hydration.  **Application:**  The 3-sided brush is problematic.  It tends to pick up more mascara than is necessary for each coat.  Because the texture of the mascara is already soft, you have to be very careful when applying to make sure you don't end up with clumps.  As long as I don't pick up too much mascara in the wand, I find that my lashes don't spike or clump. **Wearability:**  **Zoom Fast Black Lash** stays put during my day and I haven't had any problems with smudging or smearing once it's applied and dried.  My lashes still feel soft and the mascara doesn't flake on me, nor does it irritate my eyes. It removes easily with my regular eye makeup remover. Overall, I like the high-drama effect of **MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash Mascara**.  You have to be very patient with the application or you will end up with clumps and spikes.  However, if you've got the extra time to fuss with this mascara, the end result can be fabulous.
