What a pleasure to type on!

5

About 2 years ago I was looking to purchase a keyboard for my new computer. On that very day I stopped by a local electronics store to look for a keyboard. I originally came in with a not too big of a budget in mind and all I was generally looking for was a keyboard that would be nice to look at but most importantly, I wanted a keyboard that was a joy to type on. College classes was approaching and I was sure I would be by all means better off heavily investing on the comfortableness of the keys than any other possible factor of the keyboard. During that same time, I was looking at other different keyboards and I see that while there were cheaper options there the feel of the keys of those keyboards honestly did not compare. The keys of this keyboard are soft and at the same time provide good feedback so you would know for sure that you really pressed a key. With that said, those factors were what had me sold on this keyboard. Did I mention this keyboard has a neat adjustable back light as well? I'm pretty sure that the majority of people here purchased this keyboard because of that but the keys on this keyboard are something else. They have a unique feel that I have yet to see another keyboard replicate and when it comes down to it, this is an awesome keyboard many would enjoy not only because of the backlight but more importantly the keys of this keyboard are absolutely a pleasure to type on. Performance Super, I MEAN, SUPER-comfortable keys. The battery life of this keyboard is great as well. Durability The build quality of this keyboard is great. Design A great looking keyboard. Comfort I can't emphasis this enough to be honest, the keys are by all means comfortable to type on.

Very good Keyboard

Logitech KEYBOARD K800 is a durable keyboard for you PC. It's responsive, thin and sleek. The black lights are very useful for working in the dark. It's kind of pricey for a keyboard. There aren't any shorts cut keys so you have to type everything out. If you need a keyboard with black lights this would probably be it.

Solid keyboard

I bought this keyboard on sale to replace a Logitech mx3000 keyboard and mouse set that I have beeen using for several years. I live with my gf and we had two logitech keyboards within a foot or two of eachother. I had interference problems using the old wireless receivers of the old logitech keyboards. I was going to buy the logitech illuminated keyboard until I learned of the K800 which is wireless but also has the option of wired. That featured sold me and I had to go for this keyboard. The keyboard was very easy to setup. Just plug in the logitech anywhere dongle, which by the way is very small. I have used the keyboard both wireless and wired. So far I have not had any interference problems with the other K800 sitting a foot away. I found that the wireless feature isn't as important to me as i thought it is. I leave the keyboard plugged in most of the time because I am too lazy to pull the cable( micro usb ) out and put it away. The keyboard can be charged by plugging the cable in so a separate battery charge. To access the two AA batteries you need a screwdriver to take off the panel. Build quality is great and has a nice click while typing. The keyboard is kind of small and took awhile to get used compared to my old keyboard. I also feel like it is smaller than my 13 inch laptop which is a little odd. All keys have a nice curve to them which makes typing very comfortable. The backlighting has different levels that can be turned up and down via the keyboard. I haven't figured out how to keep backlight settings after my computer turns off. The brightness is very bright and comes on when you start typing. Other useful features are volume buttons and calculator key. Also there is an off an on switch you can use to conserve battery life. i would recommend this laptop except to anyone that has big hands. My hands aren't al that big so I dont have trouble typing and have adjusted very well.

legendary illuminated keyboard just got upgraded

5

The lengendary illuminated wired keyboard just got upgraded to the wireless version, even better, they incorporated with the unifying wireless receiver which you can pair with 6 different logitech devices at the same time to the same computer. The typing experience is comfortable and smooth, more or less like the keyboard used on MK710. But I find the keyboard on MK710 felt a little mushy, on the other hand, the K800 wireless keyboard felt more solid to type against with. Still slim and stylish, maybe not as slim as the original illuminated keyboard, probably because of the wireless version has more stuff need to be built in within the keyboard. The height of the keyboard is adjustable, I also felt its more stable and sturdier than the previous version. You have to pay the price for being wireless and illuminating, the battery tends to be drawn quicker on these. However, the keyboard can be charged with a normal USB cable just like you charge your cell phone. At the same time, you can still use it to type until the keyboard is fully charged. I would not say the Logitech's product are rock solid as hell, but their ingenious products are backed up by great warranty services. I would recommend their product wholeheartedly.

GAMERS BEWARE!

4

The K800 is a great keyboard for everyday typing and other common uses but if you are a gamer, its wired equivalent may be a better choice.  I'm sure if it was the CPU strain or what but with two WoW clients open, the keyboard gave me the occasional 20-30 second dropout, disabling me to only my mouse until a swarm of late keystrokes erupted on my screen. Your mileage may vary but for gamers, wired keyboards are your best bet!

The Best Wireless Keyboard on the Market Today!

5

The Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 is one of the best wireless keyboards on the market today. The Logitech wireless illuminated keyboard k800 have many features such as the laser-etched, backlit key, which let you easily type in the dark, with the bright backlit keys, it provide precise lighting to type, it has adjustable backlighting, that the keyboard automatically adjusts the backlighting to suit the lighting conditions or you can manually adjust the backlight the way you like it with the press of a button, the hand proximity detection feature which have sensors that detect your hands as it approach the keyboard to turn the backlight on and off, the Logitech perfect stroke key system that distributes typing force that evenly across key surfaces, making every keystroke comfortable, fluid, and whisper quiet, and the keys are curve so the position of your fingers fit perfectly over the keys, the keyboard is charge by usb for three to six hours and the single charge last for 10 days.  The keyboard itself is very sleek and thin, it has a very streamlined design which can be easily store your keyboard in the upright position when you are not using it to free up desk space.  The keyboard also used the unifying receiver technology which is a tiny usb receiver that either stay in your laptop or desktop and it is compatible with other Logitech wireless mouse or keyboard without the hassle of multiples usb receiver, it used the 2.4 GHz wireless technology for long range wireless connection.  Overall this keyboard is one of the best keyboard that I have ever used combined it with the Logitech Performance MX wireless mouse; you will have an unbeatable combination of wireless devices.

A keyboard that is more of a luxury than a need

I just got this keyboard last week, and after a bad first impression (did not look at slick as previous Logitech keyboards), I have fallen in love with it despite how expensive it is.  It is, however, still not as good as the Logitech Dinovo Edge in my opinion but it is a lot better than the Logitech Dinovo Keyboard for Notebooks.  It's backlit so you can type in the dark (though I wonder how often I will do that. I already have bad vision..), and I like how when you wave your hand over the keyboard, it turns on, so that's a nice little effect.  It's easy to charge, easy to type, and of course, easy to use like most of Logitech's products.  I just wished it looked as slick as the Dinovo's or Logitech's wired illuminated keyboard.  But after typing on this thing and making very less typing errors than before, I like it.  Battery life seems to be okay since I have yet to charge it.  I wish there was a button that'll turn on/off the backlight as I do not need it all the time.

K800 is a Great Keyboard

5

I really really like this keyboard.  This keyboard (along with its wired counterpart) are the most comfortable keyboards I've ever used. They are aesthetically pleasing. The wireless one gets great battery life and turns off as soon as it doesn't detect motion to save battery life further. I've used it for a week and I still have a 3 (out of 3) full battery bars.  It can recharged easily though. To charge you just plug it in to a USB charger, no sweat. It's the perfect middleground between laptop and desktop keyboards.  I actually use it with my laptop along with a Logitech Marathon M705 mouse I bought.  With the unifying receiver, i can sync both the keyboard and the mouse at the same time with one receiver which is very nice.  The keyboard also comes with an extender so you can have the receiver closer to the keyboard/mouse.  There isn't much more to be said.  It is a fantastic keyboard and I really love the illuminating feature.  Once you go with an illuminated keyboard, you won't want to go back.
