We purchased two of the Little Tikes 3-in-1 Smart Trikes for our one year olds. We thought this trike would be a great alternative to taking walks in the stroller. First, the trike is easy to assemble out of the box. The harness is excellent for the younger children. It provides great support and the actual harness is very secure. With proper supervision, the trike is steady and durable. However, if a child does pull on the handle, the trike easily tips backwards. The sunshade does provide some protection from the sun, but it easily blows backwards in the wind. The trike is easy to push in a straight line. However, make turns can be difficult. Extended pushing of the trike caused my back to ache. We have transitioned to using the actual trike with pedals. The switch is easy to make. Now that they are older, my kids are enjoying the trikes more by using the pedals. Overall, I think this is a nice option for walks in the neighborhood, but it can be difficult to push for an extended period of time.

I like this Trike, but it is not my favorite Little Tikes toy on the playground. I like the sun shade and the handle to push it, but it is very unstable at times and tips over very easily. The older children that I have in my care like to help push the little ones in the toys, but I really have to supervise when they use this Trike as it is very easy to tip over. This is one of the least used toys we have on our playground. I have not taken the handles off, but I do think this Trike would be best used without the handles for the older children. The one year old I had didn't like being so confined. this Trike is built for safety with lots of harnesses over the shoulders and the waist, but the one year old I had didn't like all the straps. I think it was too confining for a riding toy. I love Little Tikes toys, they are built to last and very high quality, but this Trike is one of my least favorite toys.

I absolutely love this! My sons father bought it for my son and I for Christmas. He couldn't have picked anything better. And my son loves it. 17 months old and already trying to get around! I definitely recommend this to all moms! Mine is actually the 4in1 because daddy thinks we should be as safe as possible. But they are all great! Even my daughter plays with it and she's 6! She pushes her brother around and tries teaching him all the tricks to driving it. Haha. Its definitely a fun way for the child to learn and you will always be right there with them! And as they grow you just take it apart and turn it into a regular trike! It doesn't get any better than that! I love the harness straps and the guard around it. If anything were to happen your child stays in a safe position and buckled! Mine came with a cup holder in the front for my son and a built in phone with it's own holder. You do have to put it together yourself but there's really nothing to it. Took me maybe 20-25 mins but only because I was also chasing my son. Haha. It's been great having it and I'm glad for what we paid for it that it will definitely get some use out of it.

My 20 month old daughter got this for christmas. So far she loves it. We had to go ahead and take it to the 2nd level right away. She didnt like the plastic ring around her. The biggest downside was putting it together. The instructions were very simple, too simple. There were certain things about the assembly that I didnt understand and could not find even a simple explination for. Im still not sure what the metal ring at the bottom of the trike is for! Besides that we all seem to like it. It steers very well. Even my 10 year old can take her sister around the block in it. She likes that the handle can go up and down for her hieght. Now if we could just find a way to tell our youngest that she cant ride it ALL the time, it would be almost perfect! Oh and it does good on all kinds of surfaces. For the first week we had it in the house. It didnt scratch up the floors. Then it did just fine on the road outside as well as the grass.

My daughter absolutely fell in love with this when she received it for her 1st birthday!  Everyday she goes to it and asks to go for a ride in the neighborhood.  It is such a wonderful item as for now I can push her with the handle (which adjusts so her Dad can also push her and her little cousin who is only 2 1/2 can also push her...).  In addition, as she gets older it converts so that eventually she will be able to pedal herself around on it.    The safety features are great such as the seatbelts which convert for each stage of use, the large tire to keep it steady, and the foot rests for her feet while she cannot pedal but enjoy the ride!   It is very easy to put together.  It took me about 20 -30 minutes.  It even has a website you can go to if you need to watch a video to help you better understand the assembly directions... I did not use the website so I can't comment on the quality of the video, but I am sure that it is a helpful tool.   This item gets my 5-star vote!

My 15 month old son received this as a Christmas gift and was able to use it immediately.   I appreciate that it will grow with him, so one trike will last us about 2 years.  I love the bright colors, safety harness, sun shade and the AWESOME cup/bottle holder for mom.  It's in the perfect place and holds cans as well as bottles.  LOVE IT!! I will caution you that it was a little bit more difficult to assemble than we anticipated.  My husband is the type who doesn't read directions and expected all the parts to just pop into place.  After the assortment of pieces came out of the box, hubby realized he had been a little ambitious and pulled out the instructions.  With instructions in hand, it took about 15 minutes to assemble. My little ones feet don't quite reach the pedals, so I'm using the steering handle to push him.  I feel like I have control with the handle, but the turning radius isn't great.  She makes a wide right turn ; ) Overall, I think this is a great find.  It's sturdy, well designed and fun to use.

Absolutely love this product especially since it will last for over 3 years.  My daughter is over a year and I wish I had this last summer when she was 10 months.  It's great b/c we use it inside and out.  It's easy to put togehter and sturdy and safe.  Love it, must have.

A was looking for an option on tricycles for babies that would be used as well for toddlers (beginning riders), or any riding toy that would work for my one-year-old daughter. Then, I found this colorful and attractive 3-in-1 trike, that makes it easy for both kids and parents. It has an adjustable push handle that I can control while my baby does not ride it by herself, also has a 3-points seatbelt that let me feel safe having my non-walking daughter there. The trike has a shade canopy, it is small, for Floridians as us it won't work so well. Another great feature is that pedals pop out for older riders, and push in for parent-assist. Meanwhile a foot rest can be installed. Another safety feature is an add-on seat frame for younger riders, that you can take off later on. The colors are bright, vivid, red, blue and yellow. It has a storage bucket where I am placing toys to take a ride :-) The frame of the tricycle is made of metal, so it is resistant. It was easy to assemble as well, it took about 15min to my husband.   So far my baby LOVES it, and I feel secure having her riding it.
