What a disappointment. After eating two rolls, I discovered a l-o-n-g grey or blonde hair in the spring roll. I am disgusted and will be returning them to the store tomorrow. In this day and age there is no excuse for this!! After that, there is nothing good that I can say about these rolls.

Let's face it, any food that's miniaturized is just darn cute. Such is the case with Ling-Ling's All Natural Vegetable Mini Spring Rolls. These are crispy little bites of goodness, filled with cabbage, vermicelli (bean thread noodles), carrots and shiitake mushrooms, flavored with ginger, garlic, green onion and spices. The shiitake mushrooms provide a distinctive flavor that's not necessarily for everyone, so if you have small kids, they may question the contents. The wheat-based wrapper is pre-fried lightly in soybean and/or canola oil, so all you have to do is pop them in a hot oven for about 10 minutes to heat them and get them nicely crispy (yet not greasy). Ling-Ling even provides packets of a rice wine vinegar/chile-based sauce in the bag, so you're all set for last minute entertaining, or just a quick lunch. I just heat up a few spring rolls in my toaster oven and throw the rest of the bag back in the freezer, since the bag has a convenient reclosable zip top.
