My son loves this set! He builds it all the time!! He received it for his birthday and it has quickly become a favorite Lego set. I like legos because it is an alternative to video games, movies or computer games which seem to be mostly what my son wants to do! So I'm excited that he's excited about something else! I do think Legos (all legos) are over priced - I wish they would make them more cost effective. I can't imagine little plastic blocks cost that much to produce.

Anything Legos in our house is a hit but with two boys under age 5 and a curious little girl too, the track is a bit small. An extra set of tracks would be great. My two boys love Thomas and they were over joyed to be able to put Thomas and their Legos together at playtime!

This is a great toy for imagination and fun! Any Thomas fan will love this set and love adding other Thomas lego sets to it. We have several so not only can our boys (2 & 5 yrs - both play with these) have fun with their Sodar friends, but they can also mix up the trains and create new trains or different creations. The track is great to set up and add to your other lego sets. My 5 year old loves to create the zoo out of legos and then have the Thomas train track go up to and around the zoo. Some set come with switchers which are great for making an expanded track. Great fun for imaginations. This toy entertains them for hours and builds hand strength and dexterity. A great way to spend an afternoon! We also recently found that the Dinosaur Trains will also fit on this track, so rather than buying the track for Dinosaur Train also, we can now use those trains on the lego track we already have. Also, other lego cars will go on this track and all can easily go across your carpet!

Hi all,Im the mother of 19 months old boy. He loves his thomas a lot.To tell the truth "thomas " is the first word that my son learnt before saying "Mommy".He keeps his thomas next to him while he sleeps & that is the first thing he sees after he wakes up in the morning.Sometime if he wakes up in the middle of the night he just sees thomas & sometimes he murmers thomas in his sleep & goes back to sleep. Just last week he took the trakes of thomas & fixed it himself & started the engine & began playing with it.He even changes the battery of thomas without my help.

the lego thomas load and carry train set really impressed me. i own about every kind of leog you can imagine for when my four year old brother visits me and it keeps him occupied for hours. He is a big fan of thomas and when i saw this and though about how much he loved legos i thought it was so awesome. he was extatic when he saw it! He spent hours putting it together all by himself and adding his other lgos to it to make it "cooler" and more interesting. The joy it brings to my little bro is worth every penny. I wouldnt recommend it for children younger then 4 years old though since lego pieces are quite small and can be easily choked on.

Legos are simply the best toys there are.  This Lego set is designed for a toddler/preschooler (ages 2-5).  My 22-month-old loves trains and Legos, and this combines both.  He inhereited this set along with a bunch of other Duplo track and trains from his older brother.  He can already put the track pieces together and gets very excited every time we take out his "choo-choo).   He loves to sit there and push the train around, making train noises.  The loading station is very interesting to a child:  You put the Legos into the loading station, park the train under it, and slide open the bottom so the Legos fall into the train (most of the time, anyway).  The one thing I don't like so much about this set is that the locomotive and the train car don't stay together very well; I guess they made it that way so the kids can put them together easily, but unfortunately, that also means it comes apart very often.  I imagine that he will be able to play with this better as he gets a bit older.  Since it's Legos, there are lots of things he will be able to do with it, like build a whole city around the train tracks, add some people to sit in the train cars ...   Excellent play value for the money.

My son Justin is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan and he has quite an extensive collection.  He was first introduced to Thomas very early on because my other son was also a big fan.  For Justin's third birthday, he received the **Lego Thomas Load and Carry Train Set **as a gift.  It was one of his most favorite gifts of all.    **The Lego Thomas Train Set**  According to the manufacturer, this toy includes the following features: - Based on Thomas the Tank Engine from the popularThomas & Friends children's stories - Child-friendly Lego toys can be built, rebuilt and re-imagined endlessly - Includes cargo tower with slide to let you drop-load Thomas with goods to be delivered - Also features full track, signal and train station - For ages 2 and up **My Experience** This set comes with a lot of pieces (61 to be exact) but they are larger pieces which was less of a hassle to find when we lost them.  At three years old, my son had no problem picking up these blocks and connecting them. The tracks were a little bit harder to connect but after a few attempts, my son was doing fine on his own.  He would spend hours just loading Thomas up at the cargo tower and then driving him over by hand to Tidmouth Station. Luckily we own other Lego Duplo sets so he could change his track around a bit rather than just having one shape that the 16 pieces of track provided.  It is a great starter kit! **My Final Viewpoint** My son who is now six years old, still loves the **Lego Thomas Load and Carry Train Set**.  He has incorporated with his other Lego Duplo's and still spends a lot of time playing with it.  It is a durable and fun set that I recommend and give it a 4 star rating.  I would go with 5 but the track that is included does limit play unless you have other sets or purchase them.
