Boys and girls alike. Every child should have a tub of Duplos! I can not think of a better toy for a toddler to build creativity and keep a little one entertained for hours! Duplos are durable, easy to clean, and you can always buy new sets to build your collection. There are a few toys that I will NEVER get rid of, and one of those if Duplo. I keep all our Duplos in a big tub, and when friends stop by with their children, I get them out. Once you show a child how they can build towers and buildings with Duplos, the fun begins! I think the zoo Duplos are my favorite. I love the alligators and the elephants, in particular. My kids spent hours building fences out of Duplos for their Duplo animals. And when they are done playing, it's very easy to pick them up and put them away. The only thing about Duplos that I don't care for is that they have gotten very expensive in recent years. But I just look for them on sale!

Duplo blocks are great for the beginner lego builder. The blocks are large, so the little hands can manipulate them. They come in current, exciting sets, such as Disney Planes and Cars as well as Jake and the Neverland Pirates. The are colorful and appealing to the eye!

I was so happy to find LEGO Duplo's. I had previously bought the original Lego's for my children but they got a bit frustrated when they couldn't put certain things together. Lego Duplo's larger size is great. My kids can now build things with ease and they have so much fun playing with these. The selection of Lego Duplo sets isn't as big as the regular Lego's but there is more than enough sets for my kids and we still haven't even bought them all yet. I love seeing my kids get so creative with what they build. I would definitely recommend these to anyone with small children.

I always thought Duplos were the blockier not-so-fun versions of Legos, but they are in fact just as fun as their smaller counterparts. I especially like the optional animals and other figures that are part of the Duplo line. There is a premium price for all Lego products, but the always dependable quality and high safety standards make the product worth every cent. The Duplo set I purchased last year has provided hours and hours of fun for our 2 year old daughter.

My husband is a LEGO maniac, and when we had our son, he couldn't wait to teach him how to build with legos. Since regular LEGOs are too small for toddlers, we started our son off with duplos. While you don't get many duplos in the box, the nice thing is, you can easily add to your collection. Putting these colorful blocks together and building with them is fun for both parent and child. They are large enough that they don't pose a chocking hazard. We also use the blocks as a learning tool, colors, numbers, sorting, etc. My son loves to knock over whatever we have built, he thinks it is a hoot! They provide hours or imaginative play (we build dinosaur homes, car garages, pools, etc) I love the fact that our son has to use his imagination and they don't make any sound, which is rare in the world of toddler toys. These duplos are indestructable, provide hours of imaginative play and help with fine motor skill development. Honestly, you can't go wrong with duplos!!

I worked in early childhood education for over thirty years and was estatic when Lego came out with Duplo. The younger children were always interested in Lego. However, the small pieces posed choking hazards. These Duplo are safe for all ages and we introduced them as soon as the children could hold them. The toys last for years and years even when thrown into the dishwasher for sanitizing and cleaning. So when my grandson was born, I introduced them to him before he was a year old. At three years of age, he was diagnosed with autism and one of his disabilities was his fine motor skills. I observed him when ever he played with the Duplo and was so pleased when he created a staircase with them. Now he's older and has been using the regular Lego for a couple of years. Considering the life expectancy of these Duplo blocks, they are a good deal and give kids hours of fun and creativity. The colors are vibrant, they clean easily and encourage explorations of their use.

Lego Duplo is a toy that your children can enjoy for hours and hours. The Duplo series is made from the same Lego group that makes the Lego Systems line of toys. The difference is that the Duplo series is fatter, bigger, and easier to grip. They are also geared for children of a younger age, and are harder to swallow. But of course, you need to always stay nearby and watch your young children because you never want to risk children swallowing items down their throat. If your children are of an age where they will try to gulp things down, they honestly should not be playing with this toy in the first place, adn they most likely would just smash the Duplo pieces around rather than their intended purpose. Their intended purpose obviously is to be used in conjunction with other Duplo pieces to be built on one another. Make sure that before you purchase these at the checkout that your kids meet the minimum age for the particular duplo set, which is labeled always on the right hand side of the packaging.

Lego duplo is a good beginner set for younger children. I was pleasantly surprised aqt how easily and quickly my eighteen month old daughter picked up the building process with lego duplos. They are oversized legos in order to help younger children enjoy the fun of building with legos. She loves playing with the colorful lego set. She enjoys stacking them, building towers, then destroying the tower and starting over. I really thought she was probably too young to be able to enjoy them, but actually they are one of her favorite activities/toys. She especially has fun when her older brother plays with her, which works well since they can both play with a lot of legos and he can mix in a few more advanced sets along with the easier to use for small hands lego duplo blocks. We own a couple sets of duplo legos and use them all the time. We feel they are a great toy and families can use them and have fun with them.

My daughter received Duplos for Christmas. At 16 months old, she couldn't build much with them yet, but so far (now she is 18 months old) she enjoys dumping them out and listening to the sound of the plastic pieces hitting eachother. She also has a facination with the window pieces. I love this toy not only for its on going entertainment value, but since it came in its own box, clean up is easy. Now that she can clean up on her own, the duplo container is fantastic! When I don't want her to dump them out again, I just snap the lid on. Fortunately, she does not complain about that yet! I see these toys as a wonderful investment, as I know she will play with them for years to come. Now there are so many new colors compared to when I was a kid, I think that will add interest and creativity to her play. Really duplo is such a classic toy, it is no wonder it has been around for a long time. Also, amazon mentions that the set I have has a chocking hazard - a small ball. My husband and I both inspected all the pieces and have not found any such piece.

My daughter loves her legos and so does her daddy. This is a great toy for Father and daughter to play with. I got her the normal color ones not the pink ones as my husband feels our house is being taken over by pink. This is a toy that she just keeps going back to. She love to be able to dump them out and use every piece in the box. She is always asking daddy to build her a tower. The blocks are a good size and easy for her to use. I like that it is just a basic box of legos and isn't meant to build a certin thing like the lego set for older children. She has build houses and cars and birthday cakes with her lego. Along with many other things. It is great to see what she comes up with. They can also be used for teaching colors and what is bigger and what is smaller. Legos are a classic toy that I think every child should have. I still have very fond memories on my lego from when I was a kid. The great part too is you don't have to replace batteries!
