Playing all around

It can be tough to find a toy with enough items to keep your busy crawler/toddler busy for a few minutes that doesn't require a second loan in order to pay for it. Our children really enjoyed the **LeapFrog Learn Around Playground. ** **What do we like about the LeapFrog Learn Around Playground? ** - not as expensive as other stand and crawl, pull yourself up toys - made by the popular LeapFrong company known for making learning fun - sturdy (but of course you should watch them because they do tend to pull themselves up with the table) - colorful, musical, bright toys for your child to play with - educational - songs that make your child want to boogie to the beat - can easily move it to another room - toys that don't need the batteries - if they do where out the kids can still play with it. What don't we like about the **LeapFrog Learn Around Playground? ** - this toy takes up quite a bit of floor space - even the energizer bunny made not keep going and going - make sure to have extra batteries on hand I Versatility The LeapFrog Learn Around Playground offers several different play options. Durability As with most Leapfrog products the LeapFrog Learn Around Playground is very durable and lasted through two children, close in age. Safety The LeapFrog Learn Around Playground is safe, but as always keep an eye on little ones as they try to pull themselves up on it. Ease of Cleaning Simply wipe with damp cloth or paper towels and cleaner. Ease of Assembly It doesn't take a rocket scientist to assemble the LeapFrog Learn Around Playground.

This is a fun toy that will keep your kis entertained for years

We purchased this item for my daughter 2 years ago and she still loves it.  The songs it plays are even fun for the adults to listen to.  The only problem I can forsee is the kids possibly losing the colored balls it comes with - otherwise I'd recommend it to everyone!

LeapFrog Learn Around Playground: Fun, fun, but eats batteries.

4

We bought this toy second hand and it still had lots and lots of life left in it- as long as we kept feeding it batteries! We are fans of LeapFrog in general and the Learn Around Playground is no exception. It's almost like having a mini hands on children's museum in your home. The Leap Frog Learn Around Playground teaches: -colors -alphabeth -textures -shapes -songs This toy has fun for stomach time with textures and sounds as well as activities for babies on the move. One of the coolest features is also one of the biggest pains for the LeapFrog Learn Around Playground. There are three balls and a ball shoot. You can not imagine how much fun this is for toddlers to feed balls to this ball eater. Not only is it so fun, this learning toy will announce the name of the colors so it is very educational too. The pain? Keeping up with the balls because without them toddlers will miss out on a lot of the fun of this LeapFrog toy. ***My Viewpoint:*** The LeapFrog Learn Around Playground is an excellent learning toy that's lots of fun but it is a battery hog.

great toy!

I bought this toy second hand, because it is not widely available anymore. My daughter has had it for 8 months and is still interested in it. When she was younger, before she could stand, she could bat at the fabric pieces or the colorful keys. Now she can stand and play with all the buttons and toys on top. There are two modes and countless number of songs and things that the toy says. I keep hearing new things from it, and I find it fascinating. It teaches colors, alphabet, shapes, textures, numbers. It has a ball chute that names the ball color as it goes down the chute (note though that this toy has a recall kit because a child's arm could get stuck in the shoot, and the kit blocks the chute). My nieces find it entertaining too. I feel like I definitely got my money's worth from this toy!

Very fun toy!!

The LeapFrog Learn Around Playground is one awesome toy!! It is brightly colored, educational, muscial and just a lot of fun from my perspective. It has cute songs, a number keyboard, alphabet with letter sounds, texture strips and a ball chute. I nanny for a just turned eight month boy who got this for Christmas. Right now his favorite thing is the ball chute. He loves to drop the ball in the chute and when it goes down, he does it again and again. This is a fairly large, stand alone toy and it can be played with the baby sitting at it or when they begin pulling up, they can stand and play. It has a lot going on so I don't think it is a toy that a child will tire of easily. There are only two possible negatives I see about this toy. Batteries could become expensive if this is used alot and the toy comes with three balls that I could see getting lost easily. I occasionally work with a little boy who is two and a half and has Down's Syndrome. He has this toy and gets many hours of enjoyment from it still. He can be very squirmy when we change his diaper or get him dressed and with this toy we can actually lay him under it and he can be playing with the toy which distracts him enough that we can more easily change him. I just think this is really an awesome toy and would highly recommend it to any family with little ones.

LeapFrog Learn Around Playground is lots of educational fun

5

LeapFrog Learn Around Playground is lots of fun and educational at the same time, just as all Leap Frog toys are. Leap Frog really outdid theirself with this toy. It is jam packed with things for babies to do. I would lay my baby girl underneath it when she couldn't move yet, around four to six months old and she was intrigued with the different colors, textures, and sounds that was made. When she moved on to sitting she would sit and play with the same parts of this toy. But when she was able to pull up and stand up, this was the first toy she did it with. She then was in baby heaven. She had lights, musical light up keyboard buttons, alphabet keys, a ball chute, a miniature book, and a push around merry go round frog. She enjoyed this toy a lot. My only complaint would be the size of the toy itself, it is pretty large. I know that it has to be to accommodate that much exciting fun, however I gave it back to my sister to donate to the church since she has other LeapFrog toys where she can learn the same things.

Sad, missing the balls

There are no replacement balls for this toy.  Right off the bat that is the ONLY negative thing I have to say about this toy.  There were 3 balls of different sizes that came with the playground and all 3 went MIA.  It is too bad. There is a fun ball shoot that now receives other various sized toys down it and get stuck : (   This toy is GREAT for my 3 yr old and for my 18 month old and for a baby too!  The baby can lay down and pull the 3 little different kinds of cloth and each ones does a different little ditty too!  My 3 yr old likes to sit on it, listen to ABC's and pretend he's riding a motorcycle.  There is a little place on the playground where the child can do opposities. You push the frog down and he says sit and then he pops up and says stand (example).  This toy was received as a gift but I'd get it again any day. The batteries seem to last FOREVER compared to how much it is used. Very nice!

The Learn Around Playground is a favorite toy in my house.

My kids love the LeapFrog Learn Around Playground.  This is a larger stand alone toy with multiple functions.  There are two learning settings: music playground and learning playground.  The music playground plays different songs based on what the child plays with and the learning playground teaches words, letters, and concepts.  There is a spinning wheel, an alphabet with letter sounds, three texture strips, and a ball chute with three balls that make the toy sing or speak when pushed down the chute. Basically all these toy with two functions each leaves the child with a varied learning experience and lots of entertainment.  It was perfect for ages 1-3 but even my 5 year old still plays with it from time to time.  This toy is (and has been) a staple toy in our house and I'm so glad we made this purchase.  The only reason I give it only 4 stars is that I have read on the LeapFrog website that the toy has a recall on it a few years ago because kids were sticking their arms down the ball chute in an attempt to grab the balls out and their arms would get stuck, so just keep an eye on that.

interactive toy that teaches too!

Once our daughter was able to sit up and we put the legs on, we found a huge variety of songs, recorded rhymes, and noises from this LeapFrog Learn Around Playground. The computer in this toy is amazing. The other day it said something we hadn't even heard before. Someone else wrote that the toy didn't announce the color of each of the three balls once they're tossed down the chute. The only problem we've had is that it occasionally gets it wrong, but the kid doesn't notice (I wouldn't be relying on this to teach your child numbers and letters anyway). The "learning playground" function is definitely quieter. When the "musical playground" bit gets going, there's a constant beat, and that gets old. But this is compensated by the five levers beneath the number keys. Touch them and you get different kinds of harmonicas. This is just an ingenious toy. A similar toy from Leap Frog is the "Learn & Groove Musical Table," which is square-shaped. A friend has one of these, and it might even be superior to the Playground. It seems less likely to tip over, and unlike the Playground, can be enjoyed equally from all sides.

Makes me want to be a baby!

Our kids love the Leapfrog learning toys in general, and both of our sons have grown up learning and experimenting with the Musical Playground toy. The set is just tall enough for a sitting baby to reach various gadgets on top of and underneath the play center. There is a tube that teaches babies colors, because when they push one of the included balls through the tube and down the slide, it tells the color of the ball.  There is a frog on a bike, which when moved back and forth sings the alphabet - not to mention that baby can press any letter of the alphabet and hear what letter it is. It contains a little "book" that can be switched to either musical or learning mode, and a frog to spin to make silly rhymes. Underneath the toy are pedals of different colors with various shapes, each one playing a different style of music or telling its color or shape. My favorite part is the cloth pieces that hang down, that when touched, perform a little song describing its texture -- smooth, bumpy or fuzzy. I wanna play!
