Got him moving!

5

This little toy pushed my son to improve his motor skills immensely. First, he would sit and scoot on this toy, then he began using it to pull himself up, and eventually used it as a walker and would push it around. This toy is perfect for any child beginning to move around. Perfect!

So Much Fun for the Kids

5

Totally awesome for my little one. She loves the buttons all over, the horn is a ton of fun and the lights are really cool too. She likes to push it around or be pushed in it by her big sister. The handle makes it easy for new walkers and the seat lifts up so they can put cool stuff in it.

The LeapFrog Alphabet Train is one of my son's favorites

We got this LeapFrog Alphabet Train as a gift for my son's first birthday. When he was little, he had fun pushing all the buttons, and we would push him around on the train. He was not able to reach the floor with his feet for quite some time, although he was always tall for his age. Now that he is a little older (2 1/2), this is one of his favorite toys! He loves to put things underneath the seat that opens, and whenever we are missing something, this is the place to look for it! The music can be a little loud and somewhat annoying, but it doesn't bother my son, so I don't mind. There are lots of fun buttons to push and things to look at, and my 10-months old just started liking the train as well (to my son's disappointment). This is a good toy to push for a baby that is just learning to walk. Since my son does want to share his train with his sister, we might have to get another one. Definitely worth the money!

Perfect

This is a great toy!  It's a great way to help children learn the alphabet.  Yes, the music is very annoying, haha, but my son just absolutely loves it.  He likes that the seat opens so he can hide things in it, and he loves riding on it. It's very easy for him to push himself.  Sometimes the cat will sit on it and he'll push it around, haha. I highly recommend this toy.

Always The Biggest Hit at the Park: Kids Love the LeapFrog Train

5

We bought the LeapFrog Ride On Alphabet Train 2 years ago as a Christmas present for our two year old. I was initially interested in this particular ride on toy because my son was obsessed with trains and I was impressed with the educational aspects of the product. Two years later my four year old still likes to play around with the train but it has become my one year old's toy of choice. This train is very versatile in that it can be used by non-walkers who can push the toy from behind and can then be used as a ride on as the child gets older. My 14 month old still isn't tall enough to reach the ground when sitting on the train, but he really enjoys walking with the toy, having me push him around on it, and playing with the numerous interactives while the toy is stationary. Not only does the toy have the alphabet song where "Tad the engineer" calls out a letter and tells a word that starts with that letter, there are also interactive buttons that create realistic train sounds, and others that play classic children's songs such as London Bridge. My favorite interactive part of the train is a series of shapes in different colors that when pressed pop open a little window revealing one of the LeapFrog friends. There are also three different phrases that go with these buttons: one telling shapes, one telling the color of the shape, and one introducing the character hiding behind the window. Another neat aspect of this train is that the seat can be raised up and little items can be stored in it. My son loves to find items such as feathers or flowers and store them under his seat. I also really like the fact that this toy is a bit heavier and seems more sturdy than similar toys on the market. Both of my children have played endlessly with this train and we have never had any flip over accidents. We often take this toy to the park so that I can push my youngest son around and we always end up with a crowd of children surrounding us wanting to take a turn on the train.  The only negative I have noticed with this toy is that there is no 'off" button! When we are driving in the car with the train in the back we often get to hear Tad the engineer talking to us.Sometimes I would just like to turn it off! (If I'm just crazy and someone has discovered an off switch please let me know!) This toy has provided hours of entertainment which is often difficult with the short attention span of young children. I would not hesitate to reccommend this toy to anyone.
