Lava Soap gets any Mess off my Hands!

5

I'm a retired man, living along a lake in Missouri, so I love to spend time outdoors! I spend a lot of time fishing, tinkering around on cars/boats/etc. and working in my garden. All of these hobbies of mine make my hands dirty and/or smelly. Lava Soap is a soap that is very dependable when it comes to getting odor and grime off of my hands the first time! I like that the bar of soap feels like a pumice stone, it really scrubs and gets into the cracks and crevices of my skin to get the dirt out. I also think that the smell is nice, reminds me of my childhood when my father would use it! This soap is widely available in stores in my area, I just wish that it would be offered in more "value packs" rather than having to buy one bar at a time. I have seen that this soap is available in liquid form, which is nice for the quick handwash, but I definitely prefer the bar soap! This is overall a great soap and I will always rely on it for my toughest messes!

Lava Soap gets the job done!

Growing up, my dad was a farmer, and I regularly had to help on the farm doing chores and milking cows. I was a "girly girl" growing up, so I hated that when I came in from helping that I reeked of barn and cows. I always made a beeline for the Lava Soap, this stuff really works! The odor, dirt and grime was always instantly taken away! Now that I'm married and have a family of my own, I still rely upon Lava Soap to get my mechanic husbands hands clean before he interacts with our children. I love the peace of mind I get when he washes up with Lava Soap, knowing that all of the dirt, grime and germs will be washed down the drain! I can literally SEE the grime washing off! Even though Lava Soap doesn't smell absolutely AMAZING - the smell reminds me of my childhood, using it after chores, so it really doesn't bother me. My husband loves that the soap is rougher so he can easily keep it in his hands and so it scrubs at the mud and muck for him! This is a great soap that I will always keep on hand for those clean up jobs that require just a little bit more than elbow grease!

My husband works in the printing industry, so there are days when he literally comes home covered in ink of all different colors. On one such day he came home with red ink on his hands and looked like he had murdered someone with them. After leaving what left like a bloody mess in our bathroom sink and still having ink on his hands, I knew our regular bath soaps werent going to cut it. I had to get him something to get the grime and ink out. I checked the bath soap aisle at different stores and came across Lava soap. It comes in a package of 2 soaps and after having my husband use it, I wish it came in bigger package sizes because this soap by far is the best for getting all the ink and grime off of his hands, arms, wherever he has ink. I havent used this soap myself personally but he tells me that it doesnt dry his hands out and actually leaves them soft. The soap doesnt have a perfumey smell, but it doesnt smell horrid either. It gets the job done of getting dirt/grime out and this puppy has its own special home right by the bathroom sink for the hubby.

Lava soap is easier on the skin than it was in my youth.

I drove an 18 wheeler over the road for many years, and I had to maintain it myself.  Greasy fifth wheels can mean very dirty hands.  I swore by Lava soap.  Those days are long behind me, but I still like to dig around in my yard.  I like to tend the lawn, the shrubbery, plant and care for flowers, and keep the greenery looking nice.  I have never been able to wear gloves and accomplish anything; so my hands bear the brunt of my labor.  I still use Lava to wash my hands after this kind of work.  A cake of it sits by every sink in the house.  When my skin started drying out due to my diabetic condition I feared it would do a number on my hands.  I never press my luck.  I have always confined the use to my hands and then only when they are really grimy, and it has never irritated them. The company has added moisturizers, and it is not as rough on the skin as it used to be.  I have found that it is one of the few things that will remove indelible marker from the skin, and it also works for super glue.

That great, gray, gritty bar.  I saw my first **Lava Soap** in my little Swedish grandma's bathroom when I was about five.  To wash with it was to experience the I-Mean-Business tingle of volcanic pumice.  Why, there was even a *volcano* on the wrapper.  Awesome! Today,  **Heavy Duty Lava**'s been slicked up a bit colorwise.  Moisturizers have been added to both the bar and **Lava Liquid**.  But, just as it was a favorite with coal miners and oil-rig workers in the 1890s, **Lava Soap** remains the province of dirty people. Dirty people like me, always grubbing around in the garden without gloves.  People like my friend Tom, a former auto mechanic who now tinkers with race cars.  Painters, craftspeople covered with glue, kids sliding into home base, printers forever picking up ink on their hands and arms -- you name dirty, and **Lava **spokesmen talk back.  "Whatever You're Into, **Lava** Gets It Out." The **WD-40 Company**, multiple generations removed from the original owners, intends to keep **Lava Soap** and the newer **Lava Liquid** in the public consciousness.  You can buy a twinpack (and more **WD-40** products) by accessing ***www.lavasoap.com.  ***The **Lava** "twins", each 5.75 ounces cost about two bucks each.  Save the postage by checking your local hardware.  While you're at it, you may find some other historic cleaners that still do the job. If it's occurred to you that **Lava** is a "natural" exfoliant, you're right.  The thought of pumice in an eye, however, should give anyone pause for thought where the face is concerned.  For some tender flowers, *regular* use of **Lava **can be irritating.  If so, go easy and save it for the big messes!
