This recliner by Lane is one of the most comfortable I have ever sat in. It There is an easy to use lever on the side that you just pull up. The chair reclines to a very comfortable slant and the footrest automatically comes out when you lean back. it is very easy to get out of and moves back to a sitting position almost effortlessly. A beautiful rich brown leather, it has held up really well to everyday use. The leather has not cracked or split or faded. The recliner swivels around and also reclines. The swivel is a very nice feature as it means I don't have to keep constantly readjusting it depending on what we are doing in the room. The swivel has just the right amount of tension. There is enough tension to keep the chair in place yet is not difficult to position it where you want. I just use a leather conditioner/ cleaner on it a couple of times a year to keep the leather supple. The leather holds up really well to children. It has taken abuse from spilled food and liquid, shoes, and children wrestling. I bought the extended warranty and their customer service is great. I found a small pin hole on the back of the chair, They were out within 3 days and fixed it right away. The service man also looked over the entire chair, made a few adjustments and repaired a loose seam.
