I personally made this purchase for a Lady Americana Kodiak Elite when I laid on this mattress in a mattress store. I went for the softest mattress in the store and this one felt right in the show room. I soon found out that the softer the mattress the more pain I personally had in my back. Since this was my first mattress purchase ever I was ignorant on the type of mattress I needed since I have back trouble. I paid a lot of money for this purchase and honestly wasn't sure on what to do about taking it back, so I did nothing. I mean it is a quality built mattress for someone who wants a soft mattress. I found myself flipping this mattress often just to find some comfort. This mattress ended up in a spare bedroom and isn't used much. I didn't feel that I should throw it away just because I couldn't handle a softer style mattress, I've learned that a firm mattress supports my back much better than a Lady Americana Kodiak Elite Mattress. Comfort At first I loved how soft this mattress felt but over time it took a tole on my back. Support Not very supportive, it's too soft to support the body but you do feel like you are laying in a soft pillow. Firmness This was not a firm enough mattress for me. I think it is too soft for comfort.

I like this mattress because the price is great.It is very inexpensive compared to other brands.I have had one for 4 years and it still seems brand new.The one we have is nice and firm.The quality is great.I don't think anyone should pay more for a more expensive brand because this one is a great quality for a great price.Also the one we have is a pillow top so it never needs to be flipped over.I would definatly recommend that.Despite being pillow topped I do not have to have special sized sheets to cover it.Regular sheets seem fine.I also do not notice any staining or wearing on any of the mattress.It still has all its frimness just like the day we bought it.We have rotated the mattress once but I do not even think that was needed.It still felt the same way after we rotated it,but I am sure that is a good thing to do to all mattress to keep the life in them.And this one certainly has a lot of life left in it.I do not see us buying a new mattress for many many years.We have a king size mattress which I thought would have been expensive,and other brands are but this one was very affordable which helped us make up our mind,and we are not sorry.

This mattress(Kodiak Elite) is pretty comfortable. My husband paid almost 900 for it I don't think it is worth more than 500. The box spring broke already and we have only had it for six months. You can make your own decisions I guess.
