I use this about once a week, depending on my week. I originally bought it for my boyfriend since he has sensitive skin. I love that it nakedness your face feel clean & that it actually feels like it's getting the dirt off. I love charcoal based products! Also, if you turn in enough containers to LUSH you get a free face product which I love!

I recently went into a LUSH store and I looked around and had someone help me with getting to know their products. She showed me around and let me know what everything was and she was very helpful. She told me about this cleanser that had charcoal in it and I was very interested in it so she had another employee come over and do a demonstration on my hand. It appeared to be very soft after it was applied and the smell was a little strong but I liked it. She employee asked me if I would like to bring a sample home with me to try it out and I said that would be wonderful! I took it home and I tried it and was in love with it! It is so cleansing and pulls the toxins out of your body, the smell can be a little strong for me but I still love feeling so refreshed on my skin after using it. I have noticed that it makes my skin very soft and refreshing after using it when I wash it off. I would highly reccommend this to many people wanting to try a new cleanser!

When entering the lush store you are always greeted by their amazing staff. I was recommended this product by one of the sale assistants after discussing my oily skin. I have been using Dark Angel for facial wash for about 3 month's now and I can honestly say my skin has most definitely improved. The consistency is of a clay texture and is very dark in coloring. I personally added water to the pot to keep the cleanser creamy at all times and make it quicker and easier to use. The smell of it is very mild and not unpleasant. The only negative point I would say about this is that when using it can make quite a mess, as it's dark and manages to get everywhere. I have personally got this product on my shower curtain and it has very lightly stained it so I would say be very careful when using, especially by anything that's white. Effectiveness Definitely noticeable improvements of skin. Ease of Application I find it can be quite messy to apply and remove. Scent Doesn't really smell of anything.

Honestly, this product is good. I think it cleans well, and it helps to keep my skin from breaking out. Even though it does work, I don't plan on purchasing this again. This product is an absolute disaster when I try to work with it. I find that it's super crumby, and, because it's black, it's extremely apparent when it goes everywhere. I eventually resorted to using the Dark Angel cleanser in the shower. It was easier to clean up when I could just wash down the entire area. No matter how I used it though, I'd always miss some of the little black particles when rinsing. I really wouldn't recommend this product, as it's such a mess to apply. I don't think it's work it. Still, I found that this product really cleaned every ounce of dirt off my face. I even used this to remove my makeup several times, and it worked extremely well for that purpose. The cleanser was also very moisturizing on my skin, so it didn't leave my skin feeling too tight and uncomfortable after each use.

I tried a sample of this that I received from a LUSH associate. The best way I found to use this is to take a pea-sized amount in your hand and add a little bit of water and mix it into a paste. I take this paste and use it to wash my face. The paste itself is not good at removing makeup or waterproof sunscreen, but it is good at removing oil from my face and mildly exfoliating without leaving my skin feeling stripped. I would say that for the price this is a good product, but in this category of face washes I prefer using Angels on Bare Skin instead. However, for oily skin, Dark Angels is the way to go as the charcoal that they use is pretty good at removing excess oil. This does wash away relatively cleanly but I usually need to take care that I've removed all of the cleanser from around my hairline. The other part that I like about this is that it is really easy to travel with since it's not a liquid and it can easily be stored in a small container without making a mess or worrying about it spilling in my suitcase.

I absolutely LOVE this product! The only problem is how messy it gets, which is why I try to only use it in the shower. I have fairly sensitive skin that has a few problem areas (nose and chin) and this product does not dry out my skin at all. It's relatively expensive, but worth every penny! A small amount goes a pretty long way. LUSH also gives out free samples so it'd be worth it to try out first before you buy it. If you purchase it in the store, you can also get a small amount for a cheaper price than the pretty large amount that you receive online. When purchasing online, I was able to make the product last pretty long since I didn't use a very hefty amount. The cleanser does have some rough bits (because there is coal in it) but it makes it a great scrub. Aside from that, the products in it are relatively gentle and after you wash your face you'll feel totally refreshed! I'm definitely a LUSh finatic and would absolutely recommend this product.

Dark Angel is the best face scrub I have ever used!  This is a light cleanser yet harsh in just the right form to clean you good.  Put a tiny bit on your hand and wet with water.  Blend in circles on your face exfoliating all the oils and dirt.  Use warm water and wash it off, your face will never have felt cleaner!  Smooth clean skin without oil and without dryness! Perfection made of coal?  Who would of thought...

Most of family uses this product. Absolutley loves it. It doesn't take much when you use it. Your face feels so wonderful after. We have noticed less black heads and zits from using this twice a week. My teenage daughters use it and love it better than avon and neutrogena.
