Great for adding body and weight to flyaway hair

5

Although I prefer the solid shampoos from Lush, this is the only one of their liquid shampoos I'll use. It's great for adding body and a bit of weight to hair. I've waist length curly hair and it helps to separate and define the waves in my hair as well as stopping them from going frizzy without adding too much weight. It's so good for curly hair that it's one of a very few number of shampoos I'll recommend. This is something I always keep in my bathroom because it's so good. Effectiveness Lathers well enough, but the main thing is adding weight and body to hair. My hair is never frizzy when I use this and I get complimented on the curls and how soft it is afterwards. Scent I love the smell, but if you don't like the smell of stout then it might not be for you. The smell is nice, but it's not overpowering and it doesn't linger too much so you don't need to worry about people asking if you've had a few drinks before coming in to work!

Best shampoo I have ever used!!!

5

I love this shampoo. Most of the time it smells delicious. It is the only shampoo that I have ever used that consistantly does the same things to my hair as the first wash. When I change it up and color-treat my hair I use something else because it issucha good deep cleaner that it will strip the color. Effectiveness This lush product is super at deep cleaning and making my hair feel and look healthy. The only problem I ever have with the shampoo is when it pulls the color out of my treated hair. So I would give it a 10 for deep cleaning but if you regularly color-treat your hair DO NOT use this product. Scent The scent overall takes some getting used to. The balsamic vinegar and stout give Tia very distinct smell, but, depending on who makes the shampoo it varies every time. It can be very stout like most times, but, a few times I have had a shampoo that smells like I poured salad dressing on my hair.

Cynthia Sylvia Stout is one of LUSH s liquid shampoos that have been around for a long time and that I've been using for years. The first time I saw it I remember holding the tester bottle up to my nose and taking a deep whiff of the cognac colored contents and feeling like I was floating on a cloud. I enjoy using this shampoo. A little goes a long way. I use only a dime sized amount. I buy a 16.9 ounce bottle of this shampoo only twice a year as a little goes a long way and a bottle lasts a long time. Effectiveness It lathers up really well and rinses out easily. I usually follow it up with a conditioner from LUSH (I have several that I use but I usually go with Veganese conditioner as I like the conditioning level and the scents are complementary). It makes my hair feel really soft and gives it incredible shine. I tend to use this product most often as a clarifying shampoo although it is not marketed that way. Maybe it's the scent of fresh lemons or the fact that it makes my hair shine so much after I use it that gives me the idea it's clarifying. I don't know, but it's the shampoo I tend to reach for when my hair smells of smoke from being at a bar or when I've got a lot of product build up. Scent Cynthia Sylvia Stout has a gorgeous, strong cognac-lemon scent that wakes me up in the morning. This shampoo smells great in the bottle and while rubbing between my palms but the scent is amazing and a real eye opener in the morning when applied to the head and lathered. I love standing in the shower and taking in that lemony scent. As for the scent of stout, I've never actually smelled stout so I couldn't tell you if it smells strongly of stout. Some people are kind of grossed out by the scent but I really love it.

I liked the whole"beer" part...

I love many Lush products, and I was given a small bottle of this by a fabulous Lush employee.  I'm down with beer being good for my hair, and I really liked the smell, so I figured I'd try it out.  It turns out that it didn't work well for my naturally dry and super-curly hair.  I just wouldn't use it again.  I've heard raves from other people, but I personally wouldn't reccommend it to anyone.
