I have had this LG washing machine for over three years now. I did A LOT of research before purchasing it to ensure I got the quality I needed. I absolutely love my LG. I knew I wanted a top load washer without the agitator so I could maximize load capacity. This machine surprises me ever time I use it. I have filled it to what probably should have been over capacity and it gets my laundry clean every cycle. It is a bit loud, but it doesn't bother me due to the location of my washer. It has a clear and loud signal and has not failed me yet. It is a high quality machine that gets laundry very clean! I don't think one could ask for more!

I have owned this washer for a year now and I am not disappointed. However, there are some things about it that I really don't like. First, I always have to run the wash cycle on Bulky bedding because the water sensor never puts enough water in the drum to be able to wash medium sized loads (like 4 pairs of jeans). The water sensor does not put enough water in the drum for ANY of the other preset load cycles....and...I always have to pause the load, open the lid, then close it, just to get the machine to "resensor" and add more water. (this is the only work around that I have found). I also don't like that the washer isn't very good at keeping the load balanced during the spin cycle. For example: a load of 5 T-shirts and 3 towels will severely bang the drum around, even if I have already moved the clothes around in the drum to balance the weight out. My washer is checked regularly for being leveled on the floor...so no problems there. My husband and I also flet that the directions for the washer were way too lengthy and complicated to remember and understand all the different cycle types. Even the option to program your own cycle is complicated. We would like to see LG make a laminated card that shows simple instructions on how to operate the machine. (one that can be suction cupped to the side of the washer like their installing instructions are.) We like the machine...it just isn't very user friendly....nor very durable.

I purchased this unit at a discount from a retail distributor as floor model mainly for the price point. I have been really pleasantly surprised with what I got. This is my first ownership of a high efficiency washer so I has taken me time to get used too. I was somewhat surprised that the washer tub does not fill completely and when washing bigger loads I wish it would fill more. The tub is huge and can fit my bed comforter without issue. Compared to side load washers I will take this unit anyday. Energy Efficiency This purchase is definitely an upgrade from my old 20 year model. The high efficiency washer has taken some getting used too, but well worth the price of operation. Cleaning Time This washer work very fast. My old model took approximately 45 minutes to complete and this is much less than that depending on the soil level selected. Now I just wish my dryer was upgraded to keep up with the washer. Performance I am very happy with the performance and size of this washer. I got a great deal. Ease of Use Push button controls and top load make this very easy to use, however the tub is very deep. The depth does cause some issues for my daughter when she is doing her laundry. She has a difficult time reaching the bottom. Design Very simplistic and stylish washer. Durability I have only had this unit for about a year, but it is quiet and quick. I have not had any issues with the performance nor durability of this washer to date.

I've never been a big fan of the front loading washers and unfortunately I can't use a front loader in my laundry room, so I decided to purchase the LG Wave Series Washing Machine. This washer can handle very, very large loads which is perfect for my family. The only downside is that means it is rather hard to reach all the way to the bottom for short people like me. The display panel is very easy to use and it shows you exactly where it is in the cycle and how much time is left. Energy Efficiency It is an energy efficient machine. Cleaning Time The cleaning time for each load is based on what is needed. There's extra time for soaking, extra rinse or if you are in a hurry there's a speed wash. You can customize the cycle to whatever you need. Performance I have absolutely no complaints about my clothes coming out clean. The only problem I do have is that my clothes tend to get more tangled together than an older style top loader with the agitator. Ease of Use This washer is extremely easy to use. Simply put in the detergent, close lid, turn on and push whatever buttons you need for your load. Once you hit the start button the lid locks and the cycle begins. Design The overall design is a nice, sleek looking machine. Durability I have been using this washer for over 3 years and it is holding up great!

Deep tub, a little too deep. Energy Efficiency Saves money because it does not fill with water. Cleaning Time It lets you know just how much time you will have before it is finished. Takes fifty one minutes for a normal cotton load. Performance Wish it did a better job getting my clothes clean. Not sure how to fix that problem. My old washer, a 25 year old Maytag, as basic a machine as you can get, sprung a small leak and I was so looking forward to getting a new machine I didn't bother fixing it. That machine cleaned my clothes so much better but only held half the load. So now I can clean up to eleven shirts at a time but the level of cleanliness is questionable. I use a detergent that has a high amount of fragrance so my clothes smell great for a very long time, but they are not as clean as they could be. If you put something wet in the tub before it weighs the load you will get a higher water level because it adds the amount of water according to the weight of the load. Not the most convenient thing to have to do every time. Ease of Use Just add detergent before you add the clothes and shut the top. Pick out what kind of load it is, cotton, heavy bedding, towels, etc.... and push the start button. Couldn't be easier. Design Need a step ladder to get the socks out. It is a very deep tub. I have gotten bruises bending over and trying to get the small things out. Durability Have had this one for a year now and so far so good. I do not believe it will last 25 years like my old one but it is what I wanted, a much larger load capacity washer.

I bought this Washing Machine along with the companion dryer two years ago. I had never had much experience with High Effeciency washer until this unit. At first I was excited to find out it would use less water, but as time has past I wish it would fill the tub with water. This washing machine has great space inside for large blankets because there is no agitor in the tub. That is another issue I have with this washer. No agitor and low water equals clothes that really aren't that clean. Many of my workout and every day clothes come out with stains and deoderant smells. I never had this issue with an old school washing machine. This washer also has an issue with smell if you keep the lid closed. When it is not in use you have to keep the lid up to keep from getting a sour smell that will stick to your clothes. This washer can be used for large families and is super energy efficient. Cleaning Time Cleaning time can be adjusted to shorten cycle. One minute on the washer does not come out to be an actual minute.

I absolutely love this machine and am so glad I decided to purchase it. I read many reviews on several machines before deciding to go with this one. The reviews were right, this machine is great for the money compared to front loading washers that are half the size but higher in price. This washer can do just as much as those higher priced machines and more. You will love the huge 4.7 cu ft capacity, not to mention the automatic weighing of the load to determine the exact amount of water to use. There are several settings, including wool (love this one!) and bulky bedding. You will not be disappointed! Energy Efficiency This washer weighs the clothes you put in to determine just how much water it needs, saving you a ton of money! Cleaning Time This washer has preset times built in to its settings, which you can adjust up or down to your needs. My laundry is completed in no time due to the huge capacity and no middle oscillator, and we are a family of 5. Performance Clothes come out very clean. The extra large size is great for washing large loads. Another plus is the locking cover, especially for families with children. Ease of Use This washer is very easy to use despite all of the options it has. Design I love the design...my kids call it the spaceship. i love the hydraulic top cover that never slams! Durability So far it seems to be very durable. You can even wash bulking bedding. I washed my queen size comforter with no problems.
