DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIDGERATOR!

1

Our LG model LFC2576OSB french door refridgerator has been a problem from the start.  The plastic sliding drawers broke - poor manufacturing of plastic rollers and hinges.  The ice maker in the pull out freezer was replaced in the first month, works better now but ice gets knocked out everytime we open the freezer.  I went online and read hundreds of reviews that describe a firehazard with the light staying on and burning the inside of the Fridge and all it's contents.  I have unscrewed the light bulb in order to keep my home from burning down.  I called LG and they said there is no preventative "fix" we can do to keep from becoming a statistic.  Since my 1 year warranty is up they will not replace the drawers again, I have to buy new ones.  A very expensive piece of junk.

It is the BEST refrigerator we've ever owned.

The LG French Door, botton freezer, refrigerator is great!!! We have it for 3 weeks now and everything is in great working order.  The shelves pull out so short people like me don't have to stretch to reach into the back of the shelves to get things. The kids love the fact that cold water comes out of it. I love the fact that it's already filtered.  Ice can be cubes or crushed.  The fridge is brightly lit. The freezer space is so much better utilized than our old model, the side-by-side. There were reviews that this particular fridge's water despenser leaks.  So far, not a drop has leaked.  Of course, the direction calls for emptying out the first 3 gallons of water to make sure no air bubbles are trapped in there to create leaks.  We dispensed 3+ gallons before using it and no leaks! The best part about it is, we got a great deal on the refrigerator from Sears.  We got the 25.0 cu.ft. for the price of a 22.6 cu.ft.  We are very happy with the purchase so far.

LG French Door Bottom Freezer

5

Our decision to purchase an LG was based on prior experience with that brand though never with a kitchen appliance.  I love having a bottom freezer so I don't have to bend over to get things on a lower shelf and having everything at eye level.  I also think it is more effecient energy wise by only having to open one side of the French doors if you know exactly what you want to get as opposed to a traditional one-door refrigerator.  It is an Energy Star model and that helped in our decision as well.  I do find that it is easy to not get the doors closed all the way shut sometimes but the unit has a freindy beep to remind you if a door is open.  It was very easy to adjust the level of the shelves, which I did when I first got it, to accomodate how you store things.  We do not have an ice and water dispensor in the door nor do we miss it.  The LG tends to be a little more expensive than other brands but I feel it is worth it in the long run.

Not worth the money.

The LG Bottom Freezer Refrigerator is not worth the cost. It does have good features, but I have found three very annoying issues. The air circulation unit is at the back, and if you have the fridge full , the items at the back of the fridge will freeze. The instructions say to keep the sir circulation unit clear, but that also means that you can not have a full fridge. One of the reasons I bought this fridge was that it would be large enough for when our entire family got together I would have fridge space. It does not work well when I need to fill it. The other issue is the Glide N Serve drawer. It is a nice size and is used all the time, but since it is one long drawer, you must open both doors when you want to open the drawer. This would work much better if it had been split into two drawers so you could only open one door. The third issue is that the sides are textured while the front is a smooth finish that shows every fingerprint. I wish I had looked at the front finish and the long drawer closer before buying, but there was no way to know that the air circulation would cause such a problem with the temperature control.

We LOVE our LG french door/bottom freezer fridge! So much room!

We have had the LG model #LFC25760 in titanium for well over a year and have yet to ever run out of room for food.  It has french doors and a bottom freezer.  With the freezer on the bottom our kids can get items out of the fridge and freezer by themselves.  The titanium surface is easily cleaned off and always looks brand new.  An alarm goes off when any door is left open too long or not shut all the way.  It's amazing how many times you think the door is all the way closed but then you hear a beep, especially when the kids are in there.  One of our easiest decisions was for the french doors.  We eat a lot of pizza and now can fit an entire x-large pizza box in with no problem.  We also opted for no external ice dispenser so we could have more room in the fridge.  We just didn't care about crushed ice as much as more inside space inside and less expensive price for the unit.  It also had an Enery Star sticker, which was important to us.

Great Refrigerator

This is one of the best refrigerators I've had. I love the sleek look of the french door refrigerator. The best part of the refrigerator is you can put a full sheet of cake in the refrigerator with no problems. The interior is very spacious and seems to fit more than your average side by side refrigerator. I love the sleek look of the stainless steel . The sides of the refrigerator are black. The only bad thing about this refrigerator is you can not change the settings of the ice maker. The ice only comes out as ice cubes and you can not have crushed ice. In the interior of the refrigerator it has a small button to dispense filtered water. There are several food bins to seperate your dairy, vegetables and fruits. One of the best parts of the refrigerator is the programable temperature. Also, the refrigerator will beep if the door is left open. It is very handy especially if you have little ones.

Best refrigerator I've ever owned!

If you are looking for a new refrigerator that efficiently uses its space and runs well, look no further.  The **LG LFC25760 French Door Refrigerator **is a great refrigerator!  I really enjoy The effiicient design, from the smart use of removable and slideable shelving, to the design of the ice machine so that it doesn't take up any space in the actual refrigerator, to the double-shelf feature in the bottom freezer, this refrigerator is really well-designed!  I also really like the user-interface of this refrigerator!  You don't have to push several buttons to get ice, in fact, you push zero buttons.  Just put your cup under the ice area and it runs.  Remove it and it stops!  And if you want crushed instead of cubed ice, its only a single button to push.  This refrigerator is also GREEN.  It saves a lot of money on electricity, and is environmentally friendly.  It may cost a bit more than other models, but its worth it!****

LG french door refrigerator is terrific

5

We purchased the LG French Door refrigerator this summer and I love it.  We have the model with the ice and water in the door and my 4 and 6 year old can get water on their own... I love this aspect.  When looking for a new refrigerator we were looking for SPACE.  This refrigerator was one of the largest we could find for refrigerator space ratio.  We own a stand up freezer so I was looking for the largest amount of refrigerator space I could find.  As we looked at french door options we realized that many of the models (non-LG) had the ice maker in the ceiling of the refrigerator and took up a  lot of square inches of your refrigerator.  This was one of the only models we found that had the ice maker integrated into the door of the frig.  so we weren't losing space to have our ice/water dispenser.  Excellent feature!  The bottom drawer is easy to pull out and it has two shelves and a divider that make it easy to organize.  Oh, it also has a small basket on the door that holds small items.  When it was installed they forgot to lock the wheels under the frig. so it slid in and out everytime you opened the door. Make sure you have them lock your wheels if you buy this unit.  The only other downfall is that the ice reserve is small, so if you are having a party you need to think ahead of time and dump your ice in the tray in the freezer to make sure you have enough for your guest.  overall, this is the best refrigerator I have ever owned.

The French Doors in this LG are AMAZING!!!!

This fridge is awesome!!!  We replaced a side by side with this model & LOVE IT!!!  I think one of our favorite features is being able to open both doors & put those extra wide or long things in.  I love the super large drawer in the bottom & the 2 other drawers.  I love the ability to move the shelves around as needed.  I also appreciate that it will beep if the door/s are left open or ajar.  Which with 3 young children this comes in handy!! I don't "love" the fact that my 3 1/2 year old & 2 year old can open the freezer & get the ice cream out - but that has nothing to do with the fridge - that's just a kid thing!!  :)

This LG refrigerator is the best one I've ever owned!

The item I am reviewing is my black LG refrigerator bottom freezer with french doors. This was one of the first appliances we bought for ourfixer upper home and it gets the job done. I do not have to constantly worry if everything I buy at the grocery store is going to fit. I like how I can adjust the temperature and it is digitally displayed so I know exactly what the setting is at. The pull out drawer in the freezer makes it easy to stack frozen meals and the ice maker is fit snug next to it. It also has a tilt drawer so I can stack frozen vegetable's. In the refrigerator it has three shelves in the french doors which fits gallon beverages perfectly and it also has an adjustable slider so I don't have to worry about my liquids falling over. The top shelf works perfect for bread and the other top shelf works well for dairy such as butter. There are also two crispers one for your vegetables and one for fruit. This is on of the roomiest refrigerators I have ever had I've had it about a year and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
