I have to say that I was a bit dismayed when my husband brought this home to me, without discussing it or letting me pick out what I wanted. I mean, it is a really nice washer but it is an lg. I never especially liked lg before, I hate their phones and while I knew that they make appliances and other electronics I still was not planning on buying any. That being said, it turned out to be a pretty decent washer. It is high efficiency with all the modern features while still remaining a traditional in appearance, top-loading machine. Energy Efficiency This is a high efficiency washer. I am going to be perfectly honest and say that I am not exactly sure what that means. I think that it uses less water, I know that it doesn't produce the amount of suds that my old washer made, but beyond that I have no clue. It didn't make my light bill go up any so that is a good sign. Cleaning Time It seems to wash a load of clothes pretty quickly. It doesn't take any longer than my old washer which ran pretty quick. Performance I was really surprised by the performance of this washer. I was not excited by the brand, I never particularly liked LG, but I was pleasantly surprised. It gets clothes really clean, with way less suds so that you don't have any sticky clothes coming out because the soap didn't all rinse out. It is isn't very loud and doesn't shake the whole house to bits during the spin cycle, so to me, this is a darn good washer. Ease of Use My problem with appliances these days is that so many of them are smart, which means that I can't figure out how to work them. This is a modern appliance but still easy enough to figure out that I could easily run it without my hubby having to show me too many times. If I can get it, you can get it, that is a promise. Design It is a traditional, top loading design, and I really like that. If you are looking for front loading then this probably isn't the washer for you, but if you took a chance on it, I bet you would like it just fine. Durability I have not had it very long, so I don't know how durable it will be in the long run. It seems to be pretty good, it gets clothes clean, even the black ones covered with white animal fur, and it doesn't shake itself apart during the spin cycle, but beyond that I have no idea.
