I have purchased 2 of these units. I like the fridge very much, however the ice maker doesn't keep the ice cold enough so that the ice doesn't stick together. We don't open the fridge very often (we don't have kids), yet we have to break apart the ice daily. Also, the "silkscreened" labels on the "push pedals" of the water dispenser and the ice maker rubbed off within a month of purchasing both units.....(no cleaning products were used to cause this). We think LG needs to rethink a few quality issues. Perhapse they could deboss the water glass emblem into the push pedals, rather than printing them on there. I also noticed that one of the door seals ripped prematurely where the doors meet together in the middle. Also, we noticed that when the doors brush together during closing, they often "squeal" or squeek. We solved this issue by oiling the stainless steal finish between the 2 doors. We are very gentle on appliances, and we take excellent care of the products we buy. We wish LG's products were made better....with longevity in mind.
