The Kubota BX1800 is a great tractor for a homeowner who likes to do more than just cut grass. My Kubota has a 60" mowing deck and a 4' bucket loader. Mowing grass with the hydrostatic controlled pedal is great. You can stop, start, go forward, go backward all with just one foot. It is not a zero turn mower but for large open spaces it is great. The mower can be removed by just disconnecting a few points. The mowing deck is over 300 lbs so it is not the easiest thing to move around by yourself. The loader can be removed fairly easily without having to do any lifting. Cutting grass is easier without the loader. The loader comes in handy for moving firewood, mulch, rock, dirt and even snow. You just have to be mindful that too much weight up front can make you tip over. Only bad thing is that I bought the 18 hp and wish I had spent the money for a larger one. The 18 hp is not large enough to run a backhoe. That would come in handy on some projects.
