As an oven, this is one of the best I have ever used. It heats food really quickly and evenly, and crisps up food really well as well. The two main problems I have had is that the door hinge is incredibly weak, and indeed it broke off after a few years of use. The oven itself still works very well, but I have to prop the door closed with a heavy (nonflammable) object. Additionally, the oven is a bit hard to clean, and there is quite a bit of grease accumulated on the surfaces. Other minor grips such as a short extension cord are not too bad. Overall, I have used this oven innumerable times and it has always cooked the food well. In fact, I use it in place of a regular oven whenever I can fit the food inside.

Our oven has been on the blink for almost a year and we really haven't had the money to get it fixed.  I am SO GLAD that we had invested in our Krups Toaster Oven.  I balked at the price when we bought it, but I'm not sure a lesser oven would have been as reliable as this one has been.  I have cooked frozen pizzas, cupcakes, chicken, etc. in the toaster oven and haven't had any problem.  No toaster oven is going to cook like a real oven, but this one comes close.  It heats pretty evenly (if you get the food in the center of the toaster oven), and cooks things all the way through.  You can generally lower the temp about 25 degrees from what it would be in a normal oven, and then your food should cook just as well.  One problem we did have with it is that originally we had it next to our oven/stove, where I would still use the burners, as it was just the oven that wasn't working.  I guess it was a little too close, because some of the plastic on the side of the toaster oven got warped from the heat off of the burners- that piece should probably be made of metal!  Other than that it's been great!

The Krups toaster oven is the most valued peice of equiptment in my kitchen.  It makes meal making easy.  I just put all the food into yhe Krups and take it out at the approprare time.  I hate cooking, but Krups makes it easy.
