I have a 13-month old Golden Retriever, and she is a chewer indeed. The Kong toys have saved my household items and backyard, and this football toy is definitely one of her favorites. It comes in the typical variety of sizes and colors, which is really nice to have the options to choose. It is as strong and durable as the other Kong toys, but I really like how it's a soft rubber (almost gel-like surface) so I can squeeze it and squeak it to get her attention. Because it's not a ball shape, it bounces unpredictably which keeps my pup's attention and interest. And, the fact that it has a squeaker makes it even more enticing for my pup to play with. She LOVES squeakers and this football toy has been able to hold up to daily chewing and squeaking for a month solid now, without any notable damage (aside from obvious teeth mark scratches). Most of the squeaker toys I get for her stop squeaking after just days, or maybe a week, so I am thrilled to have found this Kong football & the price is totally reasonable as well.

My dogs love squeaker toys, but I am always hesitant to buy them because I know I will be hearing the obnoxious squeaking all day long. I'm always been a fan of Kong toys, so I figured I would pick up this football squeaky toy even though squeaks are annoying. My dog absolutely adores this toy! He carries it in his mouth everywhere and even tries to take it with him when we go on walks. I actually didn't have much of a problem with the squeaking, which is weird for me. The squeak that comes from this toy kind of sounds different from normals squeaks. I do know what makes it so, but maybe it's the football shape? When my older dog leaves this toy lying around my smallest dog sometimes comes out to chew on it. Since her jaw is small for this larger toy she cannot squeak it. Recently, I caught her ripping the felt off of this toy. So I must warn you, if you have a dog that likes to rip felt off tennis balls, he or she will likely do the same with this toy.

My dog loves this toy. He has had this one and the tennis balls and he will squeak them until they don't squeak anymore. This toy will be in his mouth for hours. As long as it will squeak, he will squeak it. He has to have the strongest jaws ever and he has proven that. HIs bad puppy of mine got into the sink and lifted a pyrex glass baking dish (the 8x13 one) out of the sink and carried it into the living room without dropping it. These toys have also contributed to his teeth looking excellent. My only complaint is he wears them out too fast. I personally don't mind when the squeaker breaks because by that time I've had it with the squeaking but he just loves to hear it so it's a bummer for him.

Great alternative to balls!  In fact, it is everything that a tennis ball is...only better!  My puppy just discovered the joys of balls, and this was an even bigger hit with him.  I find it easy to throw and he has an easy time catching it.  I like the fact that the ball is on the softer side, it is easy to make squeak, so I know it'll be gentle on his mouth (something I find important).  He carries it around, squeaking it all the while.  Be warned if you use it indoors as it does have an annoying squeak; but, if he is happy...I am happy.  It also bounces really well.  The football shape causes it to bounce randomly, adding interest to the toy.  It has held up pretty well, the tennis ball covering has come off a bit due to his chewing, but it has yet to be chewed through (he is an aggressive chewer).  However, like most balls, it does get lost.  This is definately a keeper and I will be replacing it when it gets worn out!

This is a wonderful dog toy for a medium to large size dog.I have a boxer that loves her squeaky toys and loves her tennis balls also. So this was a natural choice for me to buy for her and she loved it so much that she was carrying it everywhere she goes squeaking it all the way.She would always bring the Kong large Squeaker football dog toy to anyone that would play catch with her.The tennis ball covering is a good thing too because the squeaky toy is not so covered in slobber that you just cant get a grip on it .The squeaker is well placed in the Kong Large Squeaker Football dog toy so that she is not able to see it and try to eat it out of the toy, as she has done with some of the other dog toys that are not as well made. It also seems that the kong football is hard enough that she enjoys playing with it but not so hard that it hurts her jaws when she bites down on it. I would recommend this to anyone.

My 6 month old golden retriever puppy, who is just over 50 pounds, loves chasing after this squeaky football toy.  After seeing other dogs play with this ball at a local pooch plunge, we knew we had to pick one up for our pup.  We first bought it for him about one month ago, and he ran all around the open park area by our home chasing after the ball.  As my puppy has just recently gotten all his full adult teeth in, he is now able to tear apart toys.  Luckily the kong football toy is quite strong and durable and thus has been able to withstand his desire to rip toys to shreds.  I enjoy playing fetch with my puppy using this football, and I know he enjoys it as well.  The only downfall to this toy is the squeaker.  Unlike many squeaky toys that involve a short squeak, when compressed, this football elicits a squeak that lasts at least 30 seconds as the ball decompresses.  All in all, I would recommend this toy to dog owners, as this toy has the potential to entertain a puppy or adult dog for a long time!

even my 2 dogs only weigh 20 pounds together they love this toy. it is almost as big as they are but they love it. they tote it all over the house and around the back yard. i am very impressed with the quality of the product. it has held up even being drug around by two toy austrailian shepards that play very rough. it has help up better than a regular tennis ball for them. i would recomend this product to all my pet friends and i have.
