I love my Kodak Easy Share DX7630

5

My husband and I bought a Kodak Easy Share DX7630 when we got married 6 years ago. This has been a great camera. It is easy to use and has all kinds of picture taking modes. You can put the camera on auto for a thought free picture taking experience. Or you can pick from the modes in the camera such as action (for when the subject is in motion), museum (for when no sound or flash desired), close up (for taking pictures just a matter of inches from the subject). It is nice because when you select a mode it gives you a description so you pick the best one for your application. You can even play with setting on your own if you are technically inclined, I am not so my husband has played with shutter speed and the like more than I have. This camera also can take videos. We have used this feature multiple times. It's nice for short little videos and you can upload them directly to your computer. We love our camera so much our family has bought three Kodak Easy Share cameras in the past few years.

Kodak EasyShare DX7630 6MP camera!

5

I bought this camera several years ago. I needed something simple and straight forward and this is it. It is easy to use and simple to understand. My favorite feature is the large 2.2 inch LCD screen, it makes viewing easy on the eyes. The lense is a 3X zoom and I've had lots of clear pictures with it. It features sixteen scene modes, including nightime and close-ups. I use a 512 MB memory card in mine and get 200 shots with it. I have the EasyShare dock with my camera and it stays on charge all the time. I have never replaced the batteries and they hold a long charge. The dock has a transfer button for uploading to the included Kodak program. I find it's easier to place my 512 MB in my SD slot and load straight to my laptop. The Kodak picture program is ok, but I find it slow to load and would rather use a third party picture program for any photo editing I have to do. There is a self timer, I've personally never used it so can't add anything there. You have the option of changing the picture size also, 1.7, 3.1, 4.0, 5.4 or 6.1. There are five color modes, sepia, black & white, low color, high color or natural. You can save favorites and creates albums easily too. This helps so you don't accidently delete a favorite. The setup menu is very easy to understand. Oh and it has a built in video camera. It is a little bulky compared to newer models, but stiil fits nicely in my hand and is very durable. I've taken it everywhere. I'm pleased with my camera and will use it until it wears out.

Kodak EasyShare DX7630

I have had this Kodak EasyShare DX7630 camera now for a few years.  It has worked very well.  The only reason I would want a new one now would be because this one is a little bulky and the newer ones have all the same features, but are a lot smaller.  This one is hard to carry around.  The pictures are very easy to download off of the camera.  I like not having batteries and having the rechargeable battery that came with the camera.  It is really easy to charge in just a couple of hours.  It is a little harder to turn the camera on.  You have to hold down the circular button and turn at the same time.  And there are multiple features to this camera.  Way more than we use.  I am still not sure what all of these features are for or what they do.  It is easy to go through the pictures and delete ones you don't want. It allows us to take over 500 pictures.  We usually download them before reaching 500 and then just delete them off the camera. If you like to have more pictures than that on your camera, you might need to look into something else. This has been a great camera for our family.

Great Camera, Easy to Use.

I love this camera.  It's only 6.1 Mega Pixels but produces beautiful pictures.  We bought one for the office and I liked it so much I had to get one for home.  It has internal memory but when you add a memory card you can store tons of pictures and if your like me and forget to download them, that makes it easy to keep taking pictures and catching those special moments.

Best camera I've ever owned

This by far is one of the best electronic purchases that I've ever made. This camers has given me great quality pictures for a couple years now. It has great versatility. It enables me to take action shots, family portraits, up close pics for auction sites. I have had lots of cameras in the past and this by far has been the easiest to use. The camera does everything for you on automatic and walks you through every process if you choose manual options. It feels great in your hand, very comfortable and the software package is also one of the easiest to use. It allows you to do lots of different things with your digital pictures that you take. I've even dropped this camera on the floor (4ft or so) and broke the battery door, but no other problems. I like this camera so much that I am now thinking of upgrading to a new Kodak and passing this one on to my son, because I feel it has many more years of use.

This is a easy to use camera that takes beautiful pictures.  I mean just  fantastic.  For the money I don't know how you could get a better buy.  You will not be let down if you buy this one.  Some of the pictures are pro quality.  Honest

Great pictures and oh so easy!

This camera is so easy to use!  My favorite pictures to show people are from a football game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO. We were maybe 10 rows from the top of the stadium and I managed to get pictures of the guys on the field and actually see their faces! I love this camera! And thanks to the digital age, I can take hundreds of pictures and only pay for the ones I want to print, instead of turning in entire rolls of film and hoping for the best. The zoom selector gets a little sticky at times, but a lightly moistened alcohol swab usually does the trick.  I had a lot of trouble with the EasyShare software--so much so that I took it off my computer. These two little gripes are very minor considering the enjoyment and the wonderful pictures I've gotten with this camera.

Great results, but not durable.

I love my camera, don't get me wrong.  I have even owned previous versions of this camera before.  The only problem with this brand of digital camera is that the inner parts break easily.  For example, on one of my cameras, the smart card spring did not catch anymore.  On another one, the battery holder broke.  Any little plastic part seems to not hold up. I have never dropped or lent out my camera, either.  I take great care of them and carry them in padded cases. The HUGE pro on this camera is that it is a great functioning camera...it takes great pictures.  Many options to focus (including night time photos, firework pics and objects in motion) add to the clarity and quality of your pics. I just wish that they made all of the little inside parts better!  I will continue trying on this line, as I love the results I get when I take pics!
