I have had my KitchenAid cooktop for several years now. When my husband and I decided to build our new home, we decided to put in a gas cooktop rather than go with an electric stove or cooktop. I have always used an electric cooktop so this was a new experience for me. I must say it took me a while to get the hang of it. In the beginning, I did burn several things. I quickly learned that food does cook much faster on a gas cooktop. I love my KitchenAid cooktop now. I like the fact now gas does heat up much quicker than electric. I have to say when you need something to simmer on this cooktop, you must turn it down to the lowest temperature. I also like the fact I have five burners. This comes in very handy when you are cooking a large meal. The heat distribution is very good with this cooktop, and it is relatively easy to clean. My cooktop looks like new even though I have had it for several years. And I do cook a lot. I highly recommend this cooktop!
