Kitchin Aid Coffee Maker KCM5C14ER

I got this coffee maker for Cristmas last year and love it!! It comes in a variety of colors (mine is Empire Red) and makes up to 8 cups of coffee. It has a clock, alarm clock setting, 60-minute heat setting as well as a built in water filter. The best part is that the water filter has not needed to be replaced yet. We use this coffee maker everyday (sometimes for than one a day) and when I first got it I thought that light that indicates the filter needs to be replaced will be coming on after 30-60 uses. But I have been pleasantly surprised that it has not come on yet. So the filter life seems to be long. It also has wire mesh reusable coffee filter built in, so no more running out of paper filters. Just wash it and reuse again. My only complaint about this coffee maker is that if you over fill the coffee filter, once the water starts flter through, it will splatter wet coffee grinds all over the top and force some of the grinds down into the actual pot. But it will take you about 1-2 times of figuring out how much is too much before that won't be a problem. Overall, I think it is a great value.

The KitchenAid Carafe Coffee Maker is great for big families!

Now that my brothers and I have grown up and become official coffee fiends, my mom's old 8 cup coffee maker just wasn't cutting it anymore.  The KitchenAid 14-Cup Glass Carafe Coffee Maker is fantastic because it makes plenty of coffee to go around in the morning.  The no drip or spill carafe is also great because my brothers still haven't grown out of their messy phase.

Best coffee maker hands down

I received this coffee maker as a present from my parents.  They complained that my old one would always spill whenever we had to pour water into the coffee maker or the coffee into the coffee mug.  They claimed this caraffe did not spill at all.  Well, I didn't want to spend that much money on a coffee maker but after getting it, I will never go to another type of coffee maker. It's true, I never have had  any problem with water spilling or coffee spilling and I have tried my hardest to make it spill.  My parents can't be right after after all these years, right? Well, I had to admit that they were once again and that it was spill-proof.  I love the fact that it comes with it's own coffee filter. In fact, now I grind my own coffee. I think it helps the taste of the coffee. I love that it will let you know when the coffee maker needs to be cleaned. The next best feature is the auto shut off.  I can't always remember to turn everything off in the morning, especially with trying to get two kids out the door, so this has saved me alot of worry.

Using my KitchenAid coffee maker makes me feel real good because when I recieve company everyone tells me I make good coffee. It makes very good coffee and I feel good about that. It also has a setting on it to tell me how long the coffee pot has benn left on after brewing. It makes the best coffee ever and we love it.                                                                                               Thank you                                                                            Phyllis Sciara

works good for me

I drink coffee a few times a week and make tea a couple times a week as well. Overall I would say my coffee maker gets used aproximatly 4 times a week. I have had my kitchen aid coffee maker for about four years. I have never had a problem with it. I get many compliments on the looks of it. It is very sleek and professional looking and the red is a very pretty glossy apple red. It really stands out in my kitchen. I love the mesh coffee filter that requires no coffee filter. One less thing to remember in the grocery store or clean up after the toddlers have pulled it from the trash can. I'm not sure if it is recommended, but we wash ours in the dishwasher and have not had any problems with that either. I think this will be around in my kitchen for many years, much like the other kitchen aid appliances in my home.

Awesome Kitchenaid Coffee Maker

5

I have wanted a red coffee maker for a long time to match my kitchen. I started replacing my small appliances with red kitchenaid as i was able to about 4 years ago. I love the cinnamon red color that that Kitchenaid offers and their products are quality items. This particular coffeemaker is programmable so I set the pot the night before and wake up to the wonderful smell of fresh brewed coffee. It makes enough for my husband and I to both have a cup while getting dressed for work and then to fill a travel mug each and take one with us. we have been very pleased with the quality of this coffee pot and we had other brands for many years before we switched over. The gold filter helps to save money on coffee filters.

KitchenAid 14 cup coffee maker

Love that I finally have a Red coffee maker, super happy it's a KitchenAid 14 cup capacity size. We are a family of coffee drinkers and this coffee maker serves us great. Holds enough for everyone to fill their travel mugs in the morning and gives everyone plenty to share after dinner in the evenings. Pretty to look at, nice to have sitting on the counter, bring nice splash of color. Not to big and bulky. Spout pours nice, not dripping. Fills easily. But doesn't have a filling indicator on the outside for you to see how much is inside,so be careful to check the markings on the pot for proper amounts. Cleans easy. Comes w/water filter cartridge, to save from hard water build up. Did have a small problem finding new filter though. Other than those two small bumps I would recommend this coffee maker to everyone.

Not worth it

Considering how much I love Kitchen Aid blenders, I am not very happy with this purchase.  It does make good coffee--at least at the beginning.  It is hot--which is crucial when makign a pot of coffee.  Usually we do not grind our own coffee---we go low tech--so the coffee isn't the best (Folgers, for example, would be what we use)  but the taste is actually very good.  So what is the problem in the end?  It overheats and fries out.  It gets so hot that I worried about the safety of the house while it is plugged in.  I had had a previous Kitchen Aid coffee maker and had to return it for safety reasons (they gave us an exchange) but they appear to not have made much head way in working on the nuts and guts of the machine.  It also wound up breaking on us about six months after purchase.  Then the taste started going south and no one wanted to drink the coffee---including me.  I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Sadly Disappointed

I got this coffee maker for valentines day in February.  My favorite color is red so my husband went searching for the perfect pot for me.  When I first got I was in love with it.  I loved the fact that it made fourteen cups and of course it was red.  Never dripped when it was poured and loved all the options it had.  The price was a little spendy but I figured it would last a very long time since it was a Kitchenaid!  Boy was I wrong.  I am sad to say two days ago (Dec. 3rd) it died.  Would not do anything but give an error 2 code.  It comes with a 1 year warranty buy only if you have a receipt.  The one year wont be up until February.  I am very disappointed that customer service said there is nothing they could do for me.  But they did say I could send it in for repairs but at my cost.  I used to be a kitchen aid lover but not anymore.  For as much as these cost it should last way longer than just a year.  I guess I should of kept the receipt but it also should of lasted for way past the warranty anyways.  I also went and looked up about this pot online and come to find out it is a common problem.  Wish I would of looked before.  Hope this helps before you spend money on one.  I would suggest getting extended warranty if you do choose to get one.

KitchenAid Coffee maker is a wonderful coffeemaker!

The kitchenaid coffeemaker is a beautiful machine and works wonderfully. I like the way that it pours, so much better than many other coffeemakers! Don't like that I have no control over the temp of the coffee it keeps it far too hot for our tastes! Think it is a little spendier than it should be but still a really good machine.
