Overall this toaster is the best toaster I've ever owned - we love it! Toasting Evenness Toast very even - toast comes out great everytime! We are thrilled with this toaster - although somewhat pricey it is worth it. We love kitchenAid products and really don't buy other brands very often Safety Safety is a factor when you have little kids - very easy and safe for them to use. The kids from home from school and have no problem using the toaster alone. I do not worry about them getting hurt - it is very safe. Ease of Cleaning Super easy to clean which we love since we use this toast so much. Durability Very durable - we use this toaster everyday and have never had a problem! Design Looks great on the counter
