Kingston Media Read All

5

I had been searching for something that could read my Compact Flash (CF) card. That was before I found the Kingston 19-in-1 Media Reader. Now I use it for my Micro SD, SD card along with my CF. This little compact reader proves essential for my many media needs. Because I was new to CF I did not have anything that could read them; all the other readers I looked into were made specifically for CF, and they were actually *more* expensive than the Kingston 19-in-1. What was worse was that the other CF readers had reviews complaining about read speed and errors. With the Kingston that I have owned for a little over a year, I have yet to experience any problems. The read speed is fine. I haven't had a crash. Ejecting the reader from my drive comes immediately and without probelms. The reader also comes with a USB extension in case the original cable is too short--and it is pretty short, but that was the only way the reader could be packed into a little rectangle. The unit seems sturdy enough and I'm glad I found it.

Works great with all memory cards!

This product works just GREAT!!! Easy to install, and easy to use! But prior to use, I recommend contacting kingston online to receive a firmware update. They will give you a link to download it. You must get login id and password to access it. I use SD and microSD cards, and both work so great in both Windows XP and Vista! They have a spring inside, so MicroSD is easy to both insert and eject. The cover moves so it is easier to insert the cards in and you can move the cover to protect the cards while you are using the reader. The USB line is REALLY short, like about an inch, but they include an USB extension for you to use, you must use it or else, the line is too short. (unless you are placing the device right next to your computer's USB slot) I am super happy with the purchase, as it does exactly what it is supposed to do. I Highly recommend it if you are in need of a memory card reader. :)

Kingston is the Ruler in Memory Card Tech

I have, at last count, 12 SD/SDHC Memory cards and 5 different items that use them (not counting a little USB stick that uses the cards as flash memory).  HOwever, until now, I didn't have an easy way to read all those cards.  Until now. Before, I would have to connect EACH camera to the camera via EACH camera's USB cord.  This got very tiresome.  Especially before I labelled the cords!  Then for my digital picture frame, I had to put that SD card into that little USB stick to transfer pix to the SD card.  I was ready to pull my hair out.  I asked my hubby (a Computer Nerd (tm) ) to buy me a card reader for my desktop computer.  I wanted an external, but he suggested an internal. We purchased a Rosewill from NewEgg, but unfortunately it was not compatible with my Dell, so we had to return it, and I ended up purchasing this little EXTERNAL (ha!) reader.  It plugs right into my USB (I have a 4-hub port) and it reads like 19 different cards, but I only needed SD, SDHC and MicroSD (oh, add 4 more cards I have - I have 2 MP3 players...geesh, I have a lot of stuff...). It is so nice now to be able to just stick in a card like it was a really small floppy!  Makes transferring pix SO much easier!!!
