I received a sample of the Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo while purchasing one of their deodorants for my husband. I love testing samples of different shampoo brands, and I was definitely not disappointed by this one from Kiehl's. The company is a fairly old New York-based company, which has always prided themselves on using naturally-derived ingredients for both their skin- and hair care products. The Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo contains amino acids, which are the fundamental building blocks of the human body, coconut oil, and hydrolyzed wheat protein. These ingredients are what makes the Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo so deliciously rich and creamy. In addition, it is very mild, so it should be suitable for most people. I love it when products contain coconut, because, in addition to the softening effects, it also provides such a nice, mild scent to the product. If it were not for the price, I would most certainly consider purchasing the Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo in the future. But unfortunately, it is a bit over budget for me at the moment. Effectiveness The shampoo cleaned my hair perfectly fine. Scent The shampoo was not too perfumed, which I really like. I loved the mild coconut scent.

Very natural and gentle on your hair. Not as foamy as other products I've used in the past which meant that I had to use more product each time. I used up the while bottle pretty quickly. Another thing is that I used the conditioner that goes with this shampoo so that might have added to the effects of this product. Unfortunately however, I ended up using the conditioner at an even faster rate than the shampoo! It's been slightly awkward making reorder purchases because I like to synchronize my shampoo and conditioner usage. Effectiveness Washes hair gently but requires more amounts per wash. What I like is that it doesn't leave your hair feeling stripped of oil or moisture like more chemical products on the market. Scent Nice natural scent. None of the overly perfumed smell most products have. The smell does not linger in your hair which is good because some other products smell way to artificial. That said, this shampoo does not smell floral or fruity. It smells slightly medicinal in my opinion which might take some getting used to.

Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo is one of the products that I like and one of the products that make Kiehl's famous. It contains Amino Acids,Coconut Oil,and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (Phyto Peptides).Amino Acids are fundamental to the human body and construct proteins. It is something that helps moisturing our hair.Coconut oil lathers readily and softens skin.It helps hair stay soft. Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein helps skin retain its moisture and improve its overall appearance. It makes hair moisture. All these three ingredients are working together to maintain a nice, healthy environment for our hair.     Therefore, this is not just a hair wash. It does not only wash away dirt, it gives hair what it needs while you are washing it. I bought one bottle before and have been used it for a few months. I enjoyed the sense that my hair is taken care of. Then after it runs out, I went travelling and could not buy another one on time. I used another product and my hair was not as luxious, shiny, nor healthy as it used to be. Of course, other facts may contribute to this, but a nice hair wash would do a lot in giving hair nutrition in the first place. ****
