I am loyal to Kenmore, I have loved their products for years. I think this microwave is very user friendly. My Mom has the same model and she really likes her's, too. The heat seems to be pretty even, I haven't noticed any "hot spots" or burns. The only thing I can say in a negative way is that it isn't the easiest to clean up. Other than that I haven't really had any problems, my husband was even able to figure it out and that is saying a lot, lol. But, seriously, I don't think you would be wasting your money on this one.

This is not my oven. I'll say that because another person said they bought thier first microwave as a Kenmore. So do I and it is still working - mine was purchased  February 1978 - or so I believe as that is all that it says on what remains of the label on the rear of the oven. This oven has two settings - defrost and high. It still works perfectly after 32 years and I've only had to replace the glass tray once. The Kenmore brand has a long history for good reason - it works. The oven that is pictured in the rating may be my next microwave - if my first ever truly breaks down.

My first microwave was purchased in 1978.  It was a Kenmore and it worked beautifully for 30 years!  The only thing I ever had to do was replace the light bulb.  When it finally quit working, of course I had to purchase a Kenmore.  I researched different models in Consumer Reports and they recommended this model.  No wonder why!  This microwave is easy to use and has many features that making cooking a breeze.  I especially like the defrost, melt, and soften features.  For example, when I touch "soften", the screen asks me what food and the quantity and then automatically comes on for that amount of time and correct power.  Each of these buttons have the same great feature.  When I want to defrost, the screen asks what kind of food I am defrosting and the quantity.  Another feature I love are the buttons that automatically cook popcorn, potatos, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables, rice,  and fish.  A unique feature is the automatic bread feature that I use often.  Overall, I love this microwave and I would recommend it highly,

My preference would have been to purchase a convection/microwave combination.  Due to cost this was not an option.  However, this Kenmore 1200 watts microwave with easy to use options provides consistent, high quality results - plus it's easy to clean.  I highly recommend the Kenmore Countertop Microwave Ovens.

We had to purchase a new microwave after having the old one for 23 years.  We thought that the old one was the best thing in the world but the new Kenmore blows the old one out of the water. It is so easy to use with its multiple settings. It is much faster than the old one also.  It has auto settings for reheating different types of items; soups, sauces and vegetables.   It thaws food accurately without cooking the item around the edge.  I love the automatic popcorn setting I never have burnt popcorn now.  It has a built in kitchen timer which has come in handy on occasion.  This microwave is easy to clean with just a wipe with a damp sponge.  The glass turntable can be washed in the dishwasher and is easy to place on the turntable base. The controls are easy to use located very handily on the right side of the oven door. The exterior is easy to clean and has nice sleek lines that fits into our kitchen decor. I would recomend this microwave to anyone.

We bought this microwave three years ago with many other Kenmore appliances for our new home.  It was fine up until two days ago when the number 1 through 7 buttons just decided not to work anymore.  Numbers 8, 9 and 0 still work and the microwave still cooks just fine.  I'm sure it will be cheaper to buy a new one than to repair it.  We didn't buy the extended warranty, but to me the point of buying a Kenmore Elite appliance is that I shouldn't need a warranty.  It should last.

  I recently purchased the Kenmore Elite 2.0 Microwave for several of its neat features.  Having researched for a reasonably priced large capacity micro for large casserole dishes, ease of use, and the ability to be built-in with the optional trim kit, this oven seemed our best buy.  I also wanted an appliance that could be serviced from any location in the USA.   I didn't have the opportunity to use its many features which includes a round cavity which would allow cleanup to be easier.  The micro blew after only 3 days of use.  It made an unusual noise and stopped working after emitting a cloud of electrical smelling smoke.  I don't know if this is a general problem or isolated to my microwave.  We were able to return the item for a full refund but only after the customer relations representative physically tested the micro to see if it really was inoperable.  This was not offensive to me as I realize there is a problem with people buying, using for a specific event, and then returning the item.  Rating it is difficult since I did not get a reasonable amount of time to use it prior to its malfunction.  My husband felt we should not give the Kenmore Elite another try.  Since it blew, I am blue!

This Kenmore Microwave is excellent for the money spent.  We looked at many models before purchasing a replacement microwave.  Our old microwave was from the 80's and still worked, but it took up so much conter space and was hard for the kids to use.   This has easy buttons that allow the kids (even my 4 year old) to make popcorn at the touch of a button.  It does not take up half the space as my old one does.  The rounded inside makes clean up so much easier.  The inside tuning tray easily comes out for cleaning and does not weigh a ton.  The defrost, soften, and melt buttons are easy to use and help alot on timesaving, and I don't have to pull the manual out everytime I want to use them since the screen will scroll across with the optional choices.  I love this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a contertop microwave.

The kenmore elite microwave is just the best of microwaves I have ever had in the last 5. For one thing it has buttons on it that I have not had on the others and it really does work well have had this button on the last 2 which is the popcorn button. When used the popcorn wasnt popped well at all. This time popcorn is done all but a least 5 kernels not done when the others was 15 or more kernels not done. With this microwave it is easier to clean inside. It has rounded corners instead of blocked. When cleaning it is very easy and when done you have all food out of the microwave where with the others it never looked like you got it all cleaned out. It seems to heat up food faster also. My others I could stand and just wait and count and than when buzzer went off food wasnt done. This one the food is done quicker and I am not standing and counting til food is done. My rating of this product as I have said above is a 5 star and if I ever need another I do hope I can get another one as this one is.

Kenmore Elite 2.0 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking Controls  We Bought this microwave to replace an older one that stopped working.  I shopped around for a week or so and read all the reviews.  This microwave is super easy to use and VERY easy to clean.  The curved interior has no corners to try and clean.   A damp rag and you can wipe it out in a continuous circle with no corners to fight with.  The defrost cycles are fantastic!  You can actually defrost something without cooking the edges into shoe leather first.  It heats up a bowl of soup in less than a minute and pops a bag of popcorn  without scorching it and pops the entire bag.  I really like the child lock on the door when we have liitle ones come over and visit.  No more pinched fingers in the door.
